    Stewart-Haas Racing: NASCAR Timeline During a media session at Talladega (Ala.) Stewart announces on SIRIUS’ “Tony Stewart Live” that Newman will drive the No. 39 Chevrolet instead of the No. 4. Aug. 19, 2008 Morgan-McClure Motorsports, which had used the No. 4 for several years in NASCAR competition, asked to keep the number for future use.
