Since joining forces at Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) in 2014, Harvick and Childers have combined to produce 28 points-paying victories, a victory in the non-points 2018 NASCAR All- Star Race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, 25 Busch poles, 112 top-five finishes and 162 top-10s while leading 10,150 laps. They won the 2014 championship, finished runner-up in the 2015 title chase to champion Kyle Busch, finished eighth in 2016 and third in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Harvick has career totals of 51 wins, 31 poles, 212 top-fives, 371 top-10s and 14,576 laps led in 692 starts. His most recent Cup Series win came on June 7 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. His most recent Busch Pole came in November 2019 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. Harvick’s 51 career victories put him 12th on the all-time NASCAR Cup Series wins list. He is third on the active driver list behind Jimmie Johnson and Busch. Harvick is three wins behind Lee Petty for 11th on the all-time wins list. At the Homestead season finale in 2019, Harvick became just the 11th driver to have led 14,000 laps in his NASCAR career. He’s led 14,576 and trails 10th-place Busch, who has led 17,552, and Johnson, who is ninth with 18,932 laps led. Harvick has led 10,150 laps as an SHR driver. He led his 10,000th lap as an SHR driver when he took the lead on lap 37 on June 7 at Atlanta. Points Position: Harvick arrives at Homestead first in the NASCAR Cup Series standings with 452 points, 28 markers ahead of second-place Joey Logano. He’s led the points since the conclusion of the March 8 race at Phoenix Raceway. Laps Completed: Harvick is 16th all-time in laps completed with 198,662 after Sunday’s Atlanta race. He should break 200,000 laps completed in late summer. He is the leader among active drivers and is closing in on Dale Earnhardt, who is 15th with 202,888. Already Playoff Bound – Harvick qualified for the 2020 Cup Series playoffs with his win May 17 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. -more- Busch Light Racing – Homestead 400 Page Two Homestead Notes of Interest (continued): Harvick in the Monster Energy Cup Series at Homestead: Harvick has one win, one pole, 11 top-five finishes, 17 top-10s and has led a total of 414 laps in his 19 career NASCAR Cup Series starts at Homestead. His average start is 11.8, his average finish is 6.4 and he has a lap-completion rate of 99.9 percent – 5,078 of 5,079 laps available. His last finish outside the top-10 was a 19th-place result in November 2007. He has only two finishes outside the top-10 and had finished in the top-five every year since 2014. Xfinity, Truck Series Wins: Harvick won the November 2006 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Homestead, as well as pole in November 2004. He has five top-10 finishes in eight career Xfinity starts. And in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, Harvick has raced at Homestead six times and won one race (November 2009). He has four top-five finishes in six Truck races at Homestead. 112 and Counting – Harvick scored his 100th career win in NASCAR’s top three series with his March 2018 Las Vegas win. He now has 112 total victories – 51 in the Cup Series, 47 in the Xfinity Series and 14 in the Truck Series. Only three other drivers in NASCAR history have passed 100 wins in NASCAR’s top three series: Richard Petty (200), David Pearson (106) and Busch (210). • KYLE BUSCH the New Green Machine
KYLE BUSCH The New Green Machine HUNTERSVILLE, North Carolina (Feb. 26, 2020) – When Kyle Busch takes to the track at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California this weekend, Interstate Batteries will debut a sharp new “green machine’ paint scheme as the founding sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) starts its 29th season riding along with one of the top teams in NASCAR. While there are many paint schemes created throughout the years, rarely does a driver and the chairman of a sponsor’s company collaborate on a scheme, and even more rare is a 34-year-old collaborating with someone from the Greatest Generation. However, that is exactly what happened with the new Interstate Batteries scheme debuting this weekend in the NASCAR Cup Series Auto Club 400.. Starting late last season, Interstate Batteries chairman Norm Miller teamed up with Busch on the new design. The end result is a powerful new green scheme that Busch will run this weekend in Southern California and during the remaining Interstate-sponsored races in 2020. Busch, driver of the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota for JGR, would like nothing more than to repeat his Auto Club 400 victory from last March, which happened to be his 200th career victory in NASCAR’s top three series and 54th in the Cup Series. He’s since lifted those totals to 209 overall and 57 in the Cup Series. Meanwhile, the first two races of 2020 have not gone to plan for the 2019 Cup Series champion. An engine issue in the season-opening Daytona 500 and handling issues last weekend at his hometown Las Vegas Motor Speedway have been the culprits.

  • Joey Logano Wins at Kansas
JOEY LOGANO EARNS BACK-TO-BACK NASCAR VICTORIES, WINNING HOLLYWOOD CASINO 400 AT KANSAS SPEEDWAY Wiley X®-Sponsored Driver Continues His 2015 Hot Streak, Driving Aggressively To Take Lead With Less Than Five Laps Remaining Wiley X®-sponsored NASCAR driver Joey Logano had already cemented his position as one of the eight drivers in the upcoming Sprint Cup Championship Series Eliminator Round with a win last week at Charlotte Motor Speedway — yet he wasn’t going to take his “foot off the gas” for a second. Instead, Logano notched his first back-to-back wins (and fifth overall of the season) by taking the checkered flag at Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. “This is the mark of a champion — driving his hardest at the end of the season, and winning even when he doesn’t have to,” said Wiley X Co-Owner Myles Freeman, Jr. “Joey is building up incredible momentum that will make him hard to beat. Racing fans can see how much he wants this Sprint Cup Championship, and it’s going to be very exciting for us to watch how things unfold over the next few weeks,” added Freeman. Logano literally had to battle to the end for this win at Kansas Speedway. This victory wasn’t without some controversy (the race was won after a green-white-checkered-flag restart and an extra two laps past the scheduled distance) but it certainly showed off Logano’s aggressive driving style and desire to win. Logano seemed to have the fastest car on the track all day, yet he still found himself behind Matt Kenseth (also sponsored by Wiley X) in the closing laps of the race.

WILEY X® SPONSORED DRIVER JOEY LOGANO WINS SPRINT ALL-STAR RACE AT CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY Logano Takes Lead With Two Laps Remaining to Win $1 Million Exhibition Race Joey Logano is still driving hard for his first official NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win of the season, and Saturday’s All-Star race victory may just be the stepping-stone he needs. Logano outmaneuvered Kyle Larson with two laps remaining and held on for the checkered flag in May 21’s $1 million exhibition race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This All-Star event featured many of the sport’s top drivers, and while it didn’t count in the Chase for the Sprint Cup standings, beating drivers like Larson and third-place finisher Dale Earnhardt, Jr. had to boost Logano’s confidence moving forward. The race provided an exciting finish for the throngs of NASCAR fans who gathered under the lights at this iconic Southern oval and cheered Logano on to victory. Logano has raced strongly during the 2016 campaign, having notched three Top 5 finishes and six Top 10 finishes and holding 8th Place in the current Sprint Cup Championship Series points standings. A perennial favorite, Logano has given his fans plenty to cheer about and plenty of reason to believe that more trips to victory lane are on the horizon. “We are very proud of Joey’s win against such an impressive field of racing’s all-stars,” said Wiley X Co-Owner and avid racing enthusiast Myles Freeman, Jr. “Joey has raced well and fought hard all season long.
