Depending from where you start your journey, you should first head for either Bridport or Axminster
Directions from Bridport:
1. Start from Bridport on the A35 Texaco Garage roundabout. This is where the A35 from Dorchester comes into Bridport. Continue on the A35 West to the West Bay roundabout.
2. Cross the West Bay roundabout and keep going on the A35 for 6.3 miles. You will drive through Chideock and Morcombelake.
3. After Morcombelake on the A35 you will see a large green road sign saying Charmouth on your left. The turning towards Befferlands Cottage is soon after this green sign on your right and is signed Whitchurch Canonicorum.
4. Turn right towards Whitchurch Canonicorum off the A35 down Berne Lane. Befferlands Cottage is 0.5 miles along Berne Lane. After the small caravan park your cottage is the first cottage you will see on your left.
5. Turn into Befferlands Farm and park on the left outside the cottage. The cottage will either be open and ready for you, or please contact the owners who live next door.

Directions from Axminster:
1. Leave Axminster and head East on the A35. After about half a mile you will see a pub on your right called The Hunters Lodge Inn.
2. Keep in the A35 East towards Bridport for 3 miles where you will get to a roundabout. Cross the roundabout and continue on the A35 for 1.3 miles, then turn left down Berne Lane where it is sign posted Whitchurch Canonicorum.
3. Befferlands Cottage is 0.5 miles along Berne Lane. After the small caravan park your cottage is the first cottage you will see on your left.
4. Turn into Befferlands Farm and park on the left outside the cottage. The cottage will either be open and ready for you, or please contact the owners who live next door.
