Document Set ID: 8005199 Version: 9, Version Date: 13/08/2020 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This report presents findings from research into key transport and mobility challenges for the Cumberland community. This research was conducted between August 2019 and April 2020 and is grounded in empirical data sourced from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and Transport for NSW, amongst other sources, and extensive community engagement. Quality transport options are fundamental to accessing many essential services, education, employment and social and recreational activities. Although three train lines run through the Cumberland LGA, in addition to the T80 high frequency bus route, many Cumberland residents still have difficulties getting around. Major barriers raised by the community relate to reliability, frequency and coverage of services. -
