FIRST GRADE: 1st Place “Martin Luther King, Jr.” by Peyton Honors Academy of Literature

Martin Luther King Jr. was trying to get rid of segregation. Martin’s mother told him that he was as good as anything. It didn’t matter about his skin color. His house got bombed and his cousin’s house got bombed, but he never stopped marching. He told people to use words instead of fists, and love instead of hate. He finally got rid of segregation. Martin Luther King Jr. was a great leader.
