The Red Scapular of the Passion of Our Lord and the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary

Sr. Louise-Apololine Andriveau, a Sister of The Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul had several visions of Our Lord and His Blessed Mother from 26 July 1846 to 14 September 1946 during which The Blessed Mother spoke to her; “The world is drawing down ruin upon itself because it never thinks of the Passion of Jesus Christ. Do your utmost to bring it to meditate thereon, to bring about its salvation.”

Sister Apolline also described a vision she had on 26 July 1846, the eve of the octave of St Vincent:“…clad in a long red robe and blue mantle. Oh! Love of Jesus Christ, how you filled my heart at that moment. Oh! how beautiful he was. It was no longer the painful expression, the sorrowful face worn with suffering that I had seen in Pilate’s hall a few days before during Mass. It was beauty itself. In His right Hand He held a scapular upon which was a crucifix surrounded by those instruments of the Passion which caused His Sacred Humanity to suffer most. I read around the crucifix: “Holy Passion of the Lord Jesus Christ, save us. “At the other end of the red woolen braid was a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary, the one surrounded with thorns, the other pierced by a lance, and both surrounded by a cross.

According to the revelation claimed by Sister Apolline, to wear the blood-red scapular was to be clad in the livery of Christ’s Passion and that it will prove to us a strong armour against infernal assaults, an impenetrable buckler against the arrows of our spiritual enemies and, according to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all who wear it with faith and piety it will be a pledge of pardon, a source of grace.

HOW TO PRAY TO MY SACRED HEART

I will tell you the secret to enter the Chamber of My Heart. When you pray, instead of asking for so many things (for those in need, for healing of difficult illnesses, for reconciliation of marriage, for peace within families, for relief of souls in purgatory) ask Me for one thing only. Ask Me to bring you close to Me. Ask and desire only Me. Only to be fused to My Tender Heart. Desire this first, desire this solely, and trust Me with everything. Ask this and you will possess everything. Ask this and My Light and My peace shall dwell within you. This is how you are to pray. This is how I prayed to Our Heavenly Father, and He gave Me everything and so shall you possess everything you will ever need, courage, humility, contrition, surrender, acceptance, contentment, peace. Once you enter My Chamber you shall receive an extraordinary grace that shall allow you to be guided by Me in all things, in all areas of your life. Surrender all you desire to Me. Be losed to Me in all moments, highs and lows, both the perceived blessings as well as the trials that now abound for you. You encounter your agony as well, more so now as this is the time of intense purification. Trust in Me and I shall grant you my peace. Ask for Me and you shall have Me. This is how to pray to My Sacred Heart. Teach this to others. Jesus Christ
