    ONLINE JAZZ PARTY & FUNDRAISER SPONSOR PACKAGES You’re Invited to Play your Part! The Nashville Jazz Workshop (NJW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching people’s lives through jazz education and performance. For 20 years the NJW has delivered world class performances and music education to Nashville audiences and jazz fans around the country and the world. 2020 has been a challenging year for cultural institutions everywhere as they seek to fulfill their missions and remain financially viable. Fortunately, the internet has enabled the NJW to continue serving audiences and students – over 20,000 people have subscribed to the NJW’s YouTube channel to view live and archived performances and hundreds have enrolled in virtual classes since social distancing restrictions began in March. Jazzmania is the NJW’s annual jazz party and fundraiser. As a live event it has been “the jazz party of the year” and one of the city’s most engaging and fun charity events. As with other charity events, the event is moving online this year as a virtual event. On October 24, 2020 the Workshop will host Jazzmania as an online jazz party and evening of world class jazz performances. We will share our love of jazz, celebrate the Workshop’s 20th anniversary and ask our devoted fans to open their hearts and wallets to support the Workshop. The streaming event will also be targeted to a global audience, to build awareness of the NJW and engagement with jazz fans around the world. Proceeds from the event will support the NJW’s Music Education, Performance Series and Community Outreach.

    Kygo till Sverige 7 februari 2018 2017-10-30 10:00 CET KYGO TILL SVERIGE! Norges stolthet, världsartisten Kygo, ger sig ut på turné och kommer Stockholm och Ericsson Globe för en efterlängtad konsert onsdag den 7 februari 2018. Tillsammans har han med sig Seeb och Gryffin som support. Turnén följer hans kommande album ”Kids in Love” som släpps nu på fredag den 3 november, samma dag som biljetterna till turnén! Biljetterna till konserten släpps fredag 3 november kl 10.00 via Livenation.se Turnén startar i Helsingfors den 5 februari 2018. Första fasen av turnén gör också stopp i bl.a. Oslo, Paris, Toronto och New York (se fler turnédatum nedan). Albumet, som ges ut via Sony Music Sweden / Ultra Music / RCA Records, kommer att finnas tillgängligt på alla plattformar fredag den 3 november. Founded in 1939 by Alfred Lion, who had only arrived in America a few years earlier having fled the oppressive Nazi regime in his native Germany, Blue Note has continually blazed a trail of innovation in both music and design. Its catalogue of great albums, long-playing records and even 78rpm and 45rpm records is for many the holy grail of jazz. Blue Note is loved, revered, respected and recognized as one of the most important record labels in the history of popular music. A week or so later he went to Café Society, a newly opened club, to talk to Albert Ammons and Meade Lux Lewis, who had seen them play at Carnegie Hall.

Für die in Nashville geborene Künstlerin, die nach Aufenthalten in New York und Los Angeles wieder in die "Music City" zurückgekehrt ist, stellt "Indigo" trotzdem keine wirkliche Wiedergeburt dar. Denn ihre Markenzeichen ‐ die rauchige, aber geschmeidige Stimme und das ausdrucksvolle Klavierspiel ‐ kommen auch hier wieder bestens zur Geltung. Es ist nur so, dass Kandace diesmal all das entfesselt, was schon immer in ihr steckte. Als Kandace ihr neues Album in Angriff nahm, stellte sie sich eine Frage, die Vergangenheit und Gegenwart miteinander verbindet. "Was würde Nina Simone tun, wenn sie die heutige Technologie zur Verfügung hätte? Man konnte Nina nie eine Schublade stecken ‐ auf einen Blues ließ sie ein klassisches Stück folgen, dann einen Jazzstandard und schließlich ein Beatles‐Cover.
