WE CAN SECURE OUR FUTURE

During the fiscal year ending September 30, 2017, Vidant Health Foundation received gifts and grants of approximately $6.7 million. Additionally, the Foundation distributed approximately $11.5 million in funding used to improve the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina. Because of the continued partnership with Vidant Health, the Foundation is able to use 100 percent of each gift received specifically for the purpose intended by the donor.

Funding was received for various initiatives during the year, one of which is the cancer tower and bed tower at Vidant Medical Center, scheduled to open in March 2018. The 418,000-square-foot cancer center will provide eastern North Carolina with a central location for patients to receive highly specialized care with expert providers and today’s most advanced technology.

Another major focus area is the James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital. Gifts were received and distributed for pediatric multidisciplinary education, updated equipment, and family bereavement support, among many other programs. TM

Vidant Health team members give back to their local hospitals and communities on a daily basis through programs such as the annual Employee Giving Campaign. During the year, team members across Vidant Health support funding initiatives including patient medical needs, team member crisis fund, hospital programs and services, and construction of new cancer facilities in Greenville and Tarboro.

We are grateful for the generosity and support of all of our donors. With you, we are able to directly impact the health, well-being, and quality of life for communities across eastern North Carolina.
