Species Status Assessment Class: Lepidoptera Family: Noctuidae Scientific Name: Catocala jair Common Name: Jair underwing Species synopsis: Two subspecies of Catocala exist-- Catocala jair and Catocala jair ssp2. Both occur in New York. Subspecies 2 has seldom been correctly identified leading to false statements that the species is strictly Floridian. Nearly all literature on the species neglects the widespread "subspecies 2." Cromartie and Schweitzer (1997) had it correct. Sargent (1976) discussed and illustrated the taxon but was undecided as to whether it was C. jair. It has also been called C. amica form or variety nerissa and one Syntype of that arguably valid taxon is jair and another is lineella. The latter should be chosen as a Lectotype to preserve the long standing use of jair for this species. Both D.F. Schweitzer and L.F. Gall have determined that subspecies 2 and typical jair are conspecific. The unnamed taxon should be named but there is little chance it is a separate species (NatureServe 2012). I. Status a. The DS4G concept is able to operate at very high specific impulse, power and thrust density values well in excess of conventional 3-grid ion thrusters at the expense of a higher power-to-thrust ratio. A small low-power experimental laboratory model was designed and built under a preliminary research, development and test programme, and its performance was measured during an extensive test campaign, which proved the practical feasibility of the overall concept and demonstrated the performance predicted by analytical and simulation models. In the present paper, the basic concept of the DS4G ion thruster is presented, along with the design, operating parameters and measured performance obtained from the first and second phases of the experimental campaign. -

Bayles Gravitational Research August 10, 2001 Abstract: This paper presents a union of my own theory of electrogravitation and documented facts concerning the general structure and measured details of crop circles as reported by Pat Delgado and Colin Andrews in their book "Circular Evidence", Phanes Press, 1989. The details of true crop circles are much too complex to be faked and the above mentioned book "Circular Evidence" leaves little doubt of this for even the most casual reader. The details of how the swirls in the crops are laid down and not broken, the braiding of runs of stems out towards the circles edges, the latent pondermotive (motor) effects of a string suspending a steel nut and a compass rotating like a small motor are but a few salient facts that establish that a true crop circle cannot be faked by jokesters with ropes, ladders, boards and the like. I recommend the book for anyone who desires the truth concerning the crop circle phenomena. I have combined present quantum physics concepts in simple terms with my previously published work concerning electrogravitational action to provide the most likely field structure connected with the crop circle phenomena. I desire actual numbers as results when doing an analysis and therefore there is some math involved that the reader may skip over lightly if so desired but the math is important for an accurate descriptive mental picture of what the fields may actually look like and how they may be generated.
