Une anthropologie historique » in Sphères, n° 4, 2019, pp. 9-18.

The present thesis aims to offer a valuable and authentic insight into the discursive construction of representations of intellectual figures in Romanian cinema from the early 1960s until the late 1980s. By taking into account the importance of the freedom of creation within a totalitarian geographical space, the main interest of this thesis is to reveal the hidden and latent meanings that stand behind cinematic representations of intellectuals during such a political regime. In this sense, as a result of uncovering the modes of representation employed in Romanian cinema under Communism, this research aims to trace

  • On the Advantages of Minority Condition in the Romanian
ACTA UNIVERSITATIS SAPIENTIAE, PHILOLOGICA, 9, 1 (2017) 7–16 DOI: 10 .1515/ausp-2017-0001 On the Advantages of Minority Condition in the Romanian-Hungarian Cultural and Literary Relations Valentin TRIFESCU University of Art and Design (Cluj-Napoca, Romania) Department of Theoretical Disciplines valentintrifescu@yahoo .fr Abstract. This study analyses the way in which cultural and literary Romanian-Hungarian relations have evolved since World War I in the context of the rapport between majority and minority . Our aim is to analyze, from an interdisciplinary and diachronic perspective, the implications related to culture and identity of the process studied . We raise the problem of bilingualism and its manifestation at the level of bilateral cultural relations, in general, and literary criticism, in particular . Keywords: collective identities, literary criticism, Transylvania, minority- majority, regionalism . Paradoxically, the ones that lost may be considered winners (or the winning side) and the ones that won, losers . This is the formula that summarizes the rapport between the advantages and disadvantages of the historical events of the twentieth century, especially the two World Wars, on the cultural and literary Romanian-Hungarian relations, in general, and the Transylvanian case, in particular . Certainly, our approach is diachronic . We took no interest in the exceptions, gaps or breaks, but in the developments of the cultural phenomenon, its metamorphoses and possibilities to endure through time . With much visionary spirit, in a Transylvanian-Hungarian society going through collective identitarian depression of identity caused by the passage of Transylvania under the administration of Romanian authorities in Bucharest (Olcar 2011, 10), the reformed priest and publicist Dezső László (1904–1973) optimistically described the cultural advantages of minority life .

MORAL VALUES AND FAITH VASILE MACOVICIUC [email protected] Abstract: Values – particulary the moral ones – may be interpreted as the hypostasis of the cultural sacred, inasmuch as their are experienced and understood as absolutely existing as an object of an unconditioned commitment. The author takes as significant the distinction between the belief in values and the belief in norms. Keywords: value, norm, belief, conviction, moral. At a brief, moral experience is presented as a double aspect: on the one hand, customs, practices, rules of conduct, collective action schemes, or in short, morals, and they expect from the behavior specified horizon, institutionalized patterns, symbols and types of human response, correcting - through re-signifying or prohibitions - predispositions, instincts, tendencies, appetites, on the other hand, the moral conscience by which he proposed himself as the object of reflection and appreciation, their self-modeling interiority and regulations, relationships with others, the path of life, dowry is to overcome psychological and integrated into a value order, so that it affects intentions which are spiritualized, intellect and open new registers of meaning which encapsulates the nature of the primary bio-physical, which is something qualitative or otherwise. "Values - Raymond Polin says - can be defined as sui generis entities, as endowed with a life of its own ideals. They can also be understood as axiological qualities attributed to real objects or recognized. And in one case and in the other, the values are confused, to their thinking consciousness, their significance. To evaluate the act is to express the sense of values of an act. • Heralding a New Enlightenment
THE WHOLE REALISM: THE CORNERSTONE OF IOAN MICLEA’S PHILOSOPHY ∗ IOSIF TAMAŞ Abstract: Ioan Miclea’s so-called “meeting” with the Thomist philosophy took place in Tg. Mureş, (while he was a professor of religion), through the works of Jacques Maritain. What he had tried to find out until then in philosophy, he found in the work of St. Thomas. He felt that the truth lay beyond the surface of things, within their intimate reality. Lost in the scruffy of the modern philosophy, Miclea finds the path and reaches to find Thomas, before giving up philosophy, as he was going to do at a given moment. The first reading of one of Ioan Miclea’s texts (usually, any first reading is somehow superficial) shows us an exuberant author, a simple man who honors the writings of the Thomist writings or those of Maritain whose poor scientific training is hiding under the guise of a neophyte’s exaltation. Not true! To avoid these mistakes we recommend going through the original texts of his work that will build a good relationship with Miclea’s writings and will facilitate the study of the Thomist teachings. Keywords: Thomism, Christian philosophy, truth, real, faith, reason, whole humanism. THE CHRISTIAN PHILOSOPHY, A NATURAL SOLUTION OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN FAITH AND REASON There are several sciences which seek to enter and explain the true conception of world and life. In this respect, Ioan Miclea says that science we should accede to is where: “There is only one source of truth: God; from Him, two rivers – indeed, different, but not contrary, reason and revelation, or philosophy and faith – lead to mortals.

  • Revista De Filosofie Nr
Revista de filosofie nr. 3-4/2011 ABSTRACTS TITU MAIORESCU. LOCUL IDEILOR FILOSOFICE EUROPENE ÎN PROCESUL RECONSTRUCŢIEI CULTURII ROMÂNEŞTI ANGELA BOTEZ Abstract. Within his entire cultural work Titu Maiorescu situates philosophy in an organic realtion with the other forms of human spirituality. He had used the power ideas in the European philosophy as active energies, engaged in the preocess of modernization of the Romanian culture, understanding culture as a form of life, as a live organism. Maiorescu undertakes and adapts this idea of German inspiration. Any form of life can be borrowed, but it should find a suitable environment where to thrill. Any abstract formula brought from a culture into another should be preceded by an ancient intuition favourable to the receiving culture. This organic philosophical conception fundamented the well-discussed esthetical theory of „the forms without content”of Titu Maiorescu. Maiorescu believed in the vital energy of the organism of Romanian spirituality that will enable him to assimilate the newest literary, scientific and philosophic works. He used the great achievements of European philosophy to boost the process and attempted to convince Romanian cultural world that philosophy as „the most complete expression of the human spirit at a certain moment of its development” should be involved in criticizing and guiding all the evolutions of art and culture, in general. Abstract A disciple of Titu Maiorescu (1840–1917), Petre Paul Negulescu, along with Constantin Radulescu-Motru (1868–1957) and Ion Petrovici (1882–1972), is regarded as being among the most prolific thinkers in Romanian modern thought and one of the founders of the modern Romanian culture.
