Account of Mid-Day Meal upto 30/06/2012, a sum of Rs.1,39,07,000/- (Rupees One crore Thirty Nine lakh and Seven thousand only) is hereby sub-allotted to the all Block Development Officers for their their respective blocks and to the Sub-Divisional Officers for the Municipalities and / or Municipal Corporations under their jurisdiction as per statement enclosed through bank advice system and to meet up the expenditure of Honorarium to Cook-cum-Helper under Mid-Day Meal Programme of Primary Stage students for the month of August 2012. An additional amount of Rs.2,24,000.00 (Rupees Two lakh Twenty Four thousand only) is sub allotted to Jamuria development block as per the prayer of the B.D.O, Jamuria vide his office memo No.1257/JMR-Mid Day Meal dt.16/08/2012. All SDOs & BDOs are requested to submit Utilisation Certificate in respect of the fund sanctioned herein should invariably be sent to this end by the last working day of the following month. Now, as per decision taken by the Bardhaman Zilla Parishad, this fund being Rs. 23,18,444/- (Rupees twenty• three lakh eighteen thousand four hundred forty-four) only as shown in Annexure-A is transferred to the designated Bank NCs of 277 Nos. of Gram Panchayats of this order which will be utilized. This grant under the recommendation of the Forteenth Finance Commission, shall be utilized in accordance with the guidelines prescribed in this Department's G.O vide No. 839/SS/RD/CCA/W/5M-3/2015 dated 1st December, 2015 without any deviation. Allotment of fund is no authority to incur any expenditure unless the same is covered by sanction of the appropriate rules / authority.

Such CPCs will directly operate under the administrative control of the DC (F&S)s and overall supervision of the Director, DDP&S of Food and Supplies Department. The Governor is now pleased to decide that a total number of 350 (Three Hundred and Fifty) nd CPCs out of which 293 are 1st CPCs ,55 are 2 CPCs and 2 are additional CPCs,will be operationalised as shown in the table below. The registration of new farmers in 1st CPCs will commence from 1sI October 2020 and paddy purchase will commence from 1st November 2020. The registration of farmers nd as well as purchase of paddy in 2 CPCs and additional CPCs will commence from 1st December 2020 onwards. The Director of DDP&S and the DCF&S concerned will ensure that all the 1st CPCs are fully functional for undertaking procurement of paddy w.e.f. 1st November, 2020.     PURBA BARDHAMAN DISTRICT AT A GLANCE The name Burdwan is the anglicized form of Barddhaman. (also spelled as Burdwan or Burdhman) is a district in West Bengal. There are two schools of thoughts about the name Barddhaman. It might have been named after the 24th Jaina Tirthankar. According to Kalpasutra of the Jains, Mahavira spent sometime in Astikagram which was formerly known as Barddhaman. According to the second school, Barddhaman means prosperous growth centre. In the progress of Aryanisation from Upper Ganges valley, the frontier colony was called Barddhaman as a landmark of growth and prosperity. The name came to stay as the Aryans failed to consolidate their gains further east. District : Purba Bardhaman, State : West Bengal Social & Resource Map Showing River System of Purba Bardhaman District The main towns of the district is Burdwan, Kalna & Katwa Geography: Total Geographical Area: 5432.69 sq. km. The district extends from 22°56' to 23°53' N latitude and from 86°48' to 88°25' E longitudes. Lying within Burdwan Division, the district is bounded on the north by Birbhum and Murshidabad, on the east by Nadia, on the south by Hooghly, Bankura and Purulia and on the west by Paschim Bardhaman districts. RIVERS : The river system in Purba Barddhaman includes the Bhagirathi-Hooghly in the east, the Ajoy and its tributaries in the north and the Dwarakeswar, the Damodar and its branches in the south-west. Operation: The first major Settlement operation under the command and supervision of the Director of Land Records & Surveys was the District Settlement for preparation of Cadastral Maps as well as Record of Rights under the provision of Bengal Tenancy Act, 1885. ¾ R.S.
