MATERIALS LIST Previous experience is not necessary. Owning a film is encouraged. Students can discuss with the instructor via email prior to the class commencing.

Recommended Materials Approx. Cost 35mm or 120 roll film camera, preferably all manual. Variable* Hand-held light meter, if camera has none built in. Variable* Five rolls Tri-X (120 or 35mm depending on camera.) $ 35.00 Print File (120 or 35mm), 25 Sheet Pack (Can share with fellow $ 5.99 student). Course Topics

3. Working with artificial light sources: Interior and portrait lighting tools and techniques and testing.

4. Developing Film without A : Daylight tank development, streamlined; highly reliable methodology using non-toxic, coffee-based developer.

5. Scanning Black and White Negatives and : Using a flatbed scanner, dealing with low contrast and overexposed negatives, preparation for printing in Photoshop, printer profiles.
