Thank you for your letter regarding Fox Corp.' s request for a permanent waiver of the newspaper-broadcast cross-ownership rule to allow it to continue to own WWOR-TV and the New York Post in the television market. The Commission's Media Bureau denied the request on December 18, 2020, instead opting to grant a temporary waiver to preserve the status quo pending the outcome of the current litigation before the U.S. Supreme Court concerning the newspaper-broadcast cross-ownership rule and any subsequent Commission action regarding the rule.
