These coins are found only in the Swat valley of Pakistan the area of rule of the Kamboja Janapada, but recent discussions suggest that these coins are to be attributed to Gandhara Janapada. Rev. Dynastic emblem of thunderbolt and arrow; Kharoshthi legend. Nahapana coins of this variety have the arrow pointing downwards with respect to the Brahmi legend. Fishman notes “this is one of the rarest of the Nahapana's coins” and suggests that the reversal of the symbols was probably an unintentional mistake in die engraving. Fishman 3.7.
