Over that time, I am honored to say that, as a community, you all have been invested in wanting the best for the children of your historic community. Richmond Public Schools has had its challenges, yet you all have stayed engaged. As Greater Fulton continues to grow, the vision of an elementary school as a community beacon of hope should remain a future goal. I believe Richmond Public Schools has the right Superintendent in Dr. Dana Bedden. Your continued engagement is what will help RPS continue to move toward success. Once again, it has been my honor to serve each of you — and especially the children of Greater Fulton. We have a medical center! With a full roster of patients for the day, the Fulton Medical Center, along with over 100 community members and stakeholders, celebrated its grand opening on September 1st. The staff at this Capital Area Health Network (CAHN) site, located at 1718 Williamsburg Road, are looking forward to serving your medical needs. The ribbon-cutting celebration was kicked off by CAHN CEO Tracy Causey, Councilwoman Cynthia Newbille, and CAHN Board President Jeff Marshall. Chris Zinchuck, CEO of Youth with a Mission VA, owners of the medical building, welcomed CAHN to the neighborhood. Cheryl Groce-Wright, Executive Director at the Neighborhood Resource Center, had initiated discussions with CAHN about bringing a health clinic to our community years earlier and was also on hand to Dr. Dianne Reynolds-Cane and Carolyn Schmutz, NP offer Pediatric & welcome them.
