Si, mi chiamano Mimi Giacomo Puccini from La Boheme (1858-1924) Synopsis: In Act I of La Boheme, Mimi has come to the garret which the poet Rodolfo shares with his friend Marcello. She has come to her neighbor to borrow a light for her candle, but faints from exhaustion. After Rodolfo revives her with wine, he introduces himself to her, saying that he is a poor but proud poet. In this aria, she explains about her simple life, making flowers to sell, and of the joy she feels looking out her window at the first coming of spring. ,, Chanel Wood, soprano * Thomas Jaber, piano

Quando m'en vo Giacomo Puccini from La Boheme Synopsis: Musetta, a cafe singer and flamboyant coquette, and Marcello, a painter, have ended their tempestuous relationship. Marcello and his bo hemian friends are eating and drinking at the Cafe Momus, when Musetta enters flauntingly on the arm of her current admirer, Alcindoro, a wealthy old man. Despite Musetta's and Marcello's attempts to appear indifferent to each other's presence, it is plain that they are not so. Muse/ta, still very much in love with Marcello, breaks into a brazen waltz about her beauty and popularity with men, obviously attempting to make him jealous. He pretends to ignore her, but she knows he will not resist for long.
