Sfera 30. JUBILARNI SFERAKON 2008 SFera Društvo za znanstvenu fantastiku ZA TRENUTNU OBJAVU 22. travanj 2008 30. JUBILARNI SFERAKON 2008 U petak, 25. 04. 2008., počinje najveća i najstarija konvencija znanstvene-fantastike u Hrvatskoj. Jubilarni SFeraKon 2008 stoga ima dva počasna gosta (Guest of Honour): Predraga Raosa i Richarda Morgana te jednog počasnog duha (Ghost of Honour), Jacka Williamsona. Morgan u romanu kombinira elemete cyberpunka i detektivskog romana, a radnju pokreće Takeshi Kovacs, protujunak istočnoeuropskih korijena. Dodjelu nagrada vodit će Krešimir Mišak , urednik HTV-ove emisija "Na rubu znanosti" i frontmen grupe Hakuna Matata, a nagrade SFERA će pobjednicima uručiti počasni gost, Richard Morgan. Organizirane su igraonice, turniri i demonstracije RPG igara, sajam knjiga, Radujemo se vašem dolasku! stockholm june 17-19 UROCON E 2011 pris 20kr Welcome to Stockholm and Eurocon, Two years ago a group of Swedish fans went to Fiuggi, Italy, to bid for the Eurocon in 2011. We thought that the time had come for Stockholm to run a Eurocon. Swedish fandom has organized many conventions during the years; the largest one is usually the annual national convention, Swecon, with 90–200 members. We wanted something bigger and more international than that. Eurocon was the obvious choice. Our vision is an international science fiction convention with something for every- one, but with a focus on literature. The program is mostly in English but with a few program items in Swedish as well. We have taken the opportunity to invite as many writers from Sweden and the other Nordic countries as we could, and we are happy that so many could come. It is also a great delight to be able to welcome so many guests and program participants from other parts of Europe. I hope that you all will have a good convention. Fortunately, for us, Stieg Larsson's life in fandom was not deemed of public interest, and this chapter was cut short beyond recognition. Which is ironic, because this chapter would exactly have been the reason for us to buy the book. And for those of us who bought it anyway, or intend to, it may still be interesting to know what has been left out.
