Moving This information is also available on the AHA Cattle web site: www.arabianhorses.org We would like to inform you that AHA Anne has an exciting new enhancement to the Keinberger website in regards to Convention. As riding many of you are aware AHA has been Sweet Sara v diligently working towards updating our website to make correspondence with us faster and easier.

One of first items to be upgraded is the way we process the Certificate of Voting Delegates. In the past, all clubs received the Certificate of Voting Delegate form

through the mail from AHA. Once a club

has their certificate, they listed the allotted Trail Riding delegates and alternates. Then, both the Secretary and Club President had to sign Michele the certificate and return the completed Gillette on form to us. This process was adjusted by Stetson v the BOD and printed in the 2016 AHA Handbook. Kathleen Green and That process was time consuming for your Slade v club officers and then add in waiting on the postal service. We are making this Jennifer Fleet easier on clubs by allowing you to com- riding HMA plete your delegate certificate Shahtahr online. With this implementation, the club president and club secretary will both have the opportunity to enter their club’s chosen delegates/alternates through the AHA website and edit it as many times as need- ed before the deadline of Sept. 1st .

Wild-rag Tree With these updates, it is even more crucial to have your club’s and club officer’s John Varian on emails current as well as your officer list; Ladder with only the clubs president and club secretary daughter will have access to the delegate certifica- Kathryn tion process. To update your email, please contact AHA at 303-696-4500 , option 2 or Dave Stamey go on-line, log in and make the changes with Guitar directly on your club page. The exhibitors and spectators had a great time at our May Qualifier Horseshow, and many horses were qualified for the upcoming Regional Championship Show Jeff Derby with later this month. We had decided to ex- Bright Mobility V periment with a three day format but (owned by found that it was not financially justified. Jennifer Fleet) We lost a little money this year but would have made a little if it had only been a two day show. Therefore, the May Quali- fier Show will follow a two-day format going forward.

The Regional Pre-show and Champion- ships look like they will be fantastic with over 350 horses exhibiting. Joyce Schroeder and Penny Wardlaw have worked very hard to make this show the most fun yet. We have been challenged by the Sherpa Fire West of Santa Barbara. While the fire does not directly threaten the show grounds, it has caused many horse evacuations. The Earl Warren Show Sorting Cattle Grounds are the designated place to take evacuated horses, so a huge amount of Amber Courtney unplanned logistics had to be managed. and Because of the large number of horses Am Travatore expected at the show, we literally need every stall available. As I write this, eve- rything seems to have been handled, and Sally Freeberg with the show goes on. Our special thanks to Twice Abay Reata all who made this work.

The next phase of AHA’s Future State

program, a new financial management system, was planned to be completed this month but is running a couple of months late. Since it will be the foundation for all AHA financial transactions going for- ward, it is extremely important that the charter of accounts be complete and cor- rect from the beginning, and that is taking more time than originally planned.

That’s all for now. I hope to see many of you at the Region 2 Championships later Dean Brown, this week. Alaska

Go have fun with your horses! Sherry Stahler,
