‘DEAR PRUDENCE’ CAST BIOS JANE SEYMOUR (Prudence McCoy) – In addition to a recent appearance on the wildly popular “Dancing with the Stars”, Jane Seymour starred in the New Line Cinema feature film “The Wedding Crashers” with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, playing the sexually charged wife of Christopher Walken. Seymour also had a co-starring role in the comedic feature “Blind Dating” with Chris Pine and Eddie Kaye Thomas. The accomplished actress, artist and designer recently launched a new Jane Seymour Home Collection – a national lifestyle brand inspired by her homes, art and family-centered lifestyle. Seymour has just released her 8 th book, Making Yourself at Home , a style book featuring her home and lifestyle tips. In 2002, Seymour penned an autobiographical book, Remarkable Changes , profiling her own and 20 personal stories of others who have experienced positive transformation in the face of life-changing crisis. In addition, Seymour and her husband, actor/director James Keach, have co-authored a series of exceedingly successful children’s books entitled This One and That One, inspired by their highly and delightfully altered life since the actress gave birth to twins in late 1995. She is also the author of Two at a Time: A Journey Through Twin Pregnancy and Birth. Awarded a Golden Globe for her role as “Dr. Quinn,” Seymour made history with her six season “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” series. Seymour’s career encompassed such films as "Somewhere in Time" and "Live and Let Die," Broadway and London stage acclaim including creating the role of Constanza in Amadeus and television achievements in “War and Remembrance” and “East of Eden,” in addition to a number of movies and mini-series. Seymour has also emerged as a significant producer. Through Catfish Productions, she and Keach have produced, starred and directed such programs as "Sunstroke," "A Passion for Justice," “Praying Mantis," "The Absolute Truth," “Enslavement: The Fanny Kemble Story,” “Murder in the Mirror,” “Dr. Quinn, The Movie,” “A Marriage of Convenience” and "Blackout." Seymour starred in the highly acclaimed ABC-TV adaptation of John Steinbeck's "East of Eden," for which she won the Golden Globe Best Actress Award as Cathy/Kate. She won recognition for her work in "Jack, The Ripper," and "War and Remembrance," and was nominated on two successive years in the Best Actress category for both the Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. She also won the Emmy Award for her portrayal of Maria Callas in ABC-TV's "The Richest Man Alive," based on the life of Aristotle Onassis, and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance as the Duchess of Windsor in the CBS-TV movie "The Woman He Loved." Actively involved in numerous charitable causes, she and Keach have partnered yet again to start the J&J Foundation to benefit children in need. Keach captured the entire eye-opening experience on film for an award-winning documentary “Disease of the Wind” which won the Lionel Rogosin Documentary Award and Audience Award Best Documentary at the Dallas Film Festival. The film tells the story of Seymour and eight inner-city children from Los Angeles traveling with the Red Cross to Kenya to participate in the vaccination of 13 million children against measles which kills over one million children a year. Recently, Seymour has also unveiled the “Open Hearts by Jane” line of jewelry, created for and sold exclusively by Kay Jewelers. Inspired by Seymour’s paintings, the pendants feature two open, interconnected hearts, and reflect her mother’s advice that “only when you can love yourself and keep your heart open can you best give or receive love.” Seymour resides in Malibu, CA with Keach and their children. ### JAMEY SHERIDAN (Eddie Duncan) – Virile, fair-haired and set-jawed, actor Jamey Sheridan was born in 1951 and raised in Pasadena, CA. He turned to acting after a knee injury ended his dancing career. Beginning professionally on stage in 1978, he eventually reached Broadway and earned a Tony Award nomination in 1987 for his performance in the revival of Arthur Miller's All My Sons. Sheridan made his feature-film debut in “Jumpin' Jack Flash,” and started appearing on television in such series as "Spenser: For Hire" at around the same time. He received his first big on-camera break when he was cast in the title role of John Sayles’ "Shannon's Deal" for two seasons in 1990, gaining notice as a quirky, unconventional attorney. From there he moved to the "Chicago Hope" set, where he played Dr. John Sutton, followed by five seasons on the "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" team as a police captain. He had supporting roles in the movies “Stanley & Iris” with Jane Fonda, “A Stranger Among Us” opposite Melanie Griffith, and “The Ice Storm” and “Life as a House,” both starring Kevin Kline. While receiving attention as a villain in the Stephen King miniseries "The Stand,” he also turned in an interesting performance as Ozzie Nelson in the television movie "Ricky Nelson: Original Teen Idol." Having had showier roles on stage, Sheridan has never left the theater lights for long, most recently playing Brutus in Julius Caesar at New York's Shakespeare-in-the-Park alongside his wife, actress Colette Kilroy. Over the years he has graced the Broadway boards with stimulating performances in Biloxi Blues , Long Day's Journey Into Night , Moon for the Misbegotten , and The Shadow Box .
