AMT Automag .44 AutoMag (Holdout -2) AMT Original Automag: A large single action semi automatic weapon, this is the original Automag by Harry Sanford. When it was introduced in the seventies this was the first pistol to fire high powered magnum cartridges. Clint Eastwood takes a break from his .44 Magnum to use the .44 Automag in one of his Dirty Harry films. It has been out of production for close to two decades now, but after Harry Sanford died in early 1999 the AMT factory was sold off, and the new owners decided to run a limited series of original Automags in the .44 AMP caliber. These guns will be exact copies of the original guns. This may also mean that they will only function properly with full powered loads, and that some parts (most notably the extractor) will be somewhat fragile. Most likely these guns will seldom be fired anyway, as they are instant collectors items due to their reputation and their flashy, sleek and slightly futuristic looks. Should these guns be used they will look very intimidating and at the same time classy, combined with a lot of recoil... The Automag is a recoil operated pistol, is made entirely of stainless steel, and these new guns are of excellent quality, unlike some of the last pistols made in the seventies. They are very accurate. The magazine holds seven rounds of .44 AMP ammo. AMT Automag III (Holdout -2) A large single action semi automatic weapon, this is the brainchild of Harry Sanford, creator of the original automag.

    A list of Ballistics and Weapons for Savage Worlds By Erron “Bo” Whitten © 2003 [email protected] Introduction The following data is compiled from a ballistics formula used by various organizations to determine data for a “rounds comparison.” I am using the data and the statistics from Savage Worlds to create this Ballistics List. It is as accurate as possible. To use it simply find data about the weapon in question and compare it to this information. The ballistics are for most rounds on the market. Type is the type of round in question. RF = Rimfire; CFP = Center Fire Pistol; CFR = Center Fire Rifle; CFAC = Center Fire Auto Cannon (I only included the 20mm American round); CFRP = Center Fire Rifle in a Pistol; CFPR = Center Fire Pistol in a Rifle; SG = Shot Gun; BP = Black Powder; BPSG = Black Powder Shot Gun. A rifle round used in a pistol reduces its damage due to lack of a barrel of sufficient length to allow the full expansion of the gases produced by the powder charge.     CHAPTER 2. WHAT ARE “FIREARMS” UNDER THE NFA? Section 2.1 Types of NFA firearms The NFA defines the specific types of firearms subject to the provisions of the Act. These definitions describe the function, design, configuration and/or dimensions that weapons must have to be NFA firearms. In addition to describing the weapon, some definitions (machinegun, rifle, shotgun, any other weapon) state that the firearm described also includes a weapon that can be readily restored to fire. A firearm that can be readily restored to fire is a firearm that in its present condition is incapable of expelling a projectile by the action of an explosive (or, in the case of a machinegun, will not in its present condition shoot automatically) but which can be restored to a functional condition by the replacement of missing or defective component parts. Please be aware that case law is not specific but courts have held that the “readily restorable” test is satisfied where a firearm can be made capable of renewed automatic operation, even if it requires some degree of skill and the use of tools and parts. 2.1.1 Shotgun A shotgun is a firearm designed to be fired from the shoulder and designed to use the energy of the explosive in a fixed shotgun shell to fire through a smooth bore either a number of projectiles or a single projectile for each pull of the trigger.10 A shotgun subject to the NFA has a barrel or barrels of less than 18 inches in length. | 15 inches _ | The ATF procedure for measuring barrel length is to measure from the closed bolt (or breech-face) to the furthermost end of the barrel or permanently attached muzzle device.

These definitions describe the function, design, configuration and/or dimensions that weapons must have to be NFA firearms. In addition to describing the weapon, some definitions (machinegun, rifle, shotgun, any other weapon) state that the firearm described also includes a weapon that can be readily restored to fire. A firearm that can be readily restored to fire is a firearm that in its present condition is incapable of expelling a projectile by the action of an explosive (or, in the case of a machinegun, will not in its present condition shoot automatically) but which can be restored to a functional condition by the replacement of missing or defective component parts. Please be aware that case law is not specific but courts have held that the “readily restorable” test is satisfied where a firearm can be made capable of renewed automatic operation, even if it requires some degree of skill and the use of tools and parts. 2.1.1 Shotgun A shotgun is a firearm designed to be fired from the shoulder and designed to use the energy of the explosive in a fixed shotgun shell to fire through a smooth bore either a number of projectiles or a single projectile for each pull of the trigger.10 A shotgun subject to the NFA has a barrel or barrels of less than 18 inches in length. | 15 inches _ | The ATF procedure for measuring barrel length is to measure from the closed bolt (or breech-face) to the furthermost end of the barrel or permanently attached muzzle device.

(© Crispin Hughes/Panos Pictures) Sourcing the Tools of War: SMALL ARMS SUPPLIES TO CONFLICT ZONES 6 INTRODUCTION International illicit arms transfers to conflict and war zones often display features characteristic of newsworthy stories.1 They tend to involve shady, greedy dealers and financiers with Hollywood-type lifestyles; suspicious means of trans- port, with airplane registrations being changed mid-flight and jets sometimes touching down on tarmac in the middle of the jungle; and disturbingly ruthless recipients. Some cases embroil politicians and other public figures. No wonder, then, that the media are particularly eager to cover this aspect of the small arms problem. Given the intense political debates about whether to supply arms and ammunition to areas of conflict, researchers and analysts also devote substantial attention to this issue. The dynamics at work here are complex: states are pitted against religious and human rights groups; exporter states confront states that refuse to authorize particular deals; peace activists denounce gun manufacturers; and so on. Many NGOs, some intergovernmental organizations, and cer- tain governments have reported on transfers of arms—including small arms and light weapons 2—to various conflict zones, some of them under arms embargo. These reports provide invaluable insight into individual transfers of weapons as well as transfer patterns to particular conflict zones. Much of the writing concentrates on large international transfers to conflict regions—such as those involving many hundreds of weapons or millions of rounds of ammunition.3 Today this focus is also partly reflected by the international agenda, which endorses measures to control broker- ing, improve end-user documentation and controls, and reinforce and extend international arms embargoes.
