Director, Communications, The Overlake School, Redmond, WA; 2014-present An independent, college preparatory, co-educational school serving 5th through 12th grades.  Responsible for organizational communication to prospective and current families, staff, faculty and alumni.  Oversee all communication channels, including social media, web, digital and print.  Spokesperson for the organization, creating and managing crisis communication plan, and handling all media relations.  Develop and oversee yearly marketing plan, including campaign strategy, media buy, budget, and e-mail marketing campaigns.

Director, Marketing and Media Development, MultiCare Health System, Tacoma, WA; 2006-2014 A not-for-profit health care system of 5 hospitals and 10,000 employees in Pierce, King and Thurston counties with 90 sites of care and $1 Billion in net revenue.  Responsible for marketing health care programs and services, physicians and facilities.  Oversee aspects of media development, including media relations, video production, and digital media.  Develop strategic communication tools in a variety of mediums to deploy to various audiences, including physicians, clinical staff, patients, volunteers, donors and the general public.  Assist President in developing appropriate messaging to a variety of audiences, including development of employee forums, community presentations, and monthly newsletter.

Manager, Media and Community Relations, Good Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, WA; 2005-2006 A not-for-profit hospital system, including various outpatient clinics, serving the residents of East Pierce County. In August 2006, Good Samaritan merged with MultiCare Health System.  Responsible for generating media exposure to events and programs associated with the hospital.  Handled on-call media pager, answering after-hours calls from journalists seeking information on the condition of patients or other requests.  Spokesperson for the organization, speaking on behalf of the President’s office.  Began multi-year community relations program in advance of merger, building awareness and loyalty for the organization to assist in garnering public support for the merger and subsequent new construction.

Anchor/Reporter, WANE-TV, KAMC-TV, WVVA-TV, WSEE-TV, KLST-TV, WJW-TV; 1989-2005 A variety of broadcast television stations located across the country and affiliated with one of the following television networks- ABC, CBS or NBC.  Anchored and reported the local news at various affiliates for 15+ years.  Responsible for uncovering news stories from beats, including courts and crime, health, and education.  Interviewed sources, wrote and edited news reports each evening.  Delivered the news as a co-anchor for a variety of top-rated newscasts, including 11:00pm, 6:00pm, early morning, and weekend news.  Responsible for proofreading scripts and producer materials, managing photographers, production employees and weekend news staff.
