Collegiate Education Department- Plan Scheme 2019-20 - New Initiatives in Higher Education -Scholar Support Programme (SSP) -Allotment of fund to 150 Aided Colleges through concerned deputy directors-Administrative Sanction accorded- Orders Issued Order No.P4/65679/2019/Coll.Edrtf) dated : 22.06.2019 Read: 1. G.O(Rt) No:982/2019/H.Edn dated 17/06/2019 2. This office proceedings even number dated 15/06/2019(2) 3 The proposal submitted by the WWS State coordinator ORDER In the Annual plan of 2019-20 an amount of Rs.1700 lakh (Rupees Seventeen Lakh only) has provided under the head of account 2202-03-105-90 for different new initiatives programmes including SSP. The Scholar Support programme envisages extending support to students in the under graduate programme with timely assistance in terms of tutorials, additional lectures, interactive sessions ,question banks and study materials. Students who have obtained less than 60 percent of marks in the qualifying examination or in any subject for each semester can join fo r the SSP The Government vide G.O cited P 1 above have accorded administrative sanction for the Scholar Support programme for an amount of Rs 2,99,97,800/-/-(Rupees Two crore Ninety Nine lakh Ninety Seven Thousand Eight Hundred only) from above head of account for different components of the programme. As per the reference cited 3rct above the SSP state co­ ordinator has submitted a proposal of Rs 1,59,99,000/-(Rupees One crore Fifty Nine lakh Ninety Nine Thousand only) for the allotment of fund for 150 Aided Colleges under this department . The Director of Collegiate Education has examined the proposal submitted by SSP State coordinator in detail and has decided to release Rs 1,59,99,000/-(Rupees One crore Fifty Nine lakh Ninety Nine Thousand only) (107000/college for 149 colleges and Rs 56000 fo r Christian College kattakada )fo r total 150 Aided Colleges through concerned deputy directors In the above circumstances ,administrative sanction is accorded for the allotment of a total amount Rs 1,59,99,000/-/-(Rupees One crore Fifty Nine lakh Ninety Nine Thousand only)) to all deputy directors as shown below. College. We have tried to make this report a fair and comprehensive expression of our efforts at sustaining and enhancing quality in everything connected to our Institution. Our report seeks to portray an exhaustive image of the overall activities of the institution in accordance with our Vision and mission. SSV College was founded in 1967 in order to cope with the increasing demand for higher education among the economically and academically disadvantaged local populace of an underprivileged territory in Ernakulum District. Our Institution started as a junior college with 2 batches of Pre degree students, and has now grown to become a first grade college with 10 UG and 6 PG programmes. In spite of being located in a backward rural area, through the hard work and sincere efforts of all associated with it, the college has succeeded in occupying an important place in the educational map of the district of Ernakulum and has made a substantial contribution to the inclusive growth of the local community through socio-economic change and sustainable development. In the exhaustive process of writing this report, we the staff, management and the students were ably supported by all our external stakeholders.

    HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE YEAR 2011-12 Select List of Scholarship Awardees (First Batch) The Higher Education Council had published a provisional list of 1000 students who were considered for the award of scholarships during 2011-12. After verification of relevant certificates, the Council has now finally approved a list of 948 students for the award of scholarships.The select list is given below. One position each in the CUSCBPL and CUSCOBC is kept vacant as per the interim order of the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala dated 20th July 2012. The awardees are required to verify the entries regarding their respective bank details in the list. Errors if any, should be brought to the notice of the Council within 10 days of publication of this list. Requests for necessary corrections in bank details if any, should be forwarded through the Head of Institution concerned. The Council will, as soon as possible, put up a waiting list of scholars for filling up 52 vacancies and a complete list of 1000 scholars with all relevant details. The principals should forward to the Council the relevant certificates of wait-listed scholars as and when required for verification.     MINUTES OF THE 12th MEETING OF THE PROJECT APPROVAL BOARD (PAB) OF RUSA HELD ON 25th May, 2018 The 12th meeting of the RUSA PAB was held on 25th May, 2018 at 10.30 hrs in India International Centre, under the Chairmanship of Sh. R. Subrahmanyam, Secretary (HE), MHRD. The Joint Secretary, MHRD & National Mission Director (NMD), RUSA welcomed the members of the PAB and the participating States. AGENDA ITEM 1: CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES OF 11th MEETING OF PAB HELD ON 6th FEBRUARY 2017. PAB Decision: The minutes of 11th meeting of PAB held on 6th February, 2017 was confirmed by the PAB. AGENDA ITEM 2: PRESENTATION ON CLF AND APPRAISAL OF PROPOSALS OF STATES UPLOADED ON CHALLENGE LEVEL FUNDING (CLF) PORTAL PAB Decisions on Agenda Item 2: Component 1 - Creation of University by way of up gradation of existing Autonomous College: Three new universities were approved to be created through a State Public University Act. These are by virtue of upgrading the existing autonomous colleges: 1. Government Science College, Bengaluru, 2. St. Joseph’s College, Bengaluru and 3. Fergusson College, Pune. All these institutions will receive Rs.55 crore each subject to them enacting a State Public University Act in 3 months and also submitting an action plan for the institutions. An amount of Rs.165 crores for these institutions to be converted into a university. Component 2- Creation of Universities by conversion of colleges in a Cluster: No proposals received from the States/UTs. Component 3 - Infrastructure Grants to Universities: 21 Universities (list in Annexure 1) were approved for receipt of an infrastructure grant of Rs.20 crores each.
