PROJECT MANAGEMENT ABILITIES 2008: Carried out a Socio-economic Impact Assessment for a project to construct a Shoprite Checkers shopping complex in Livingstone on behalf of African Supermarkets Limited of South Africa. 2008: Supervised and participated in preparation of a Participatory Natural Resources Management Plan for Sekute Chiefdom in Livingstone on behalf of African Wildlife Foundation, Kazungula Heartland, Livingstone, Zambia. 2007: Supervised and coordinated the preparation of an Environmental Project Brief for Chundukwa Lodge in Livingstone, Zambia. 2007: Supervised and coordinated the preparation of an Environmental Project Brief for a project to rehabilitate roads in Livingstone on behalf of China Geo-Engineering Company, Zambia. 2006: Coordinated a project to restore the Ing’ombe Ilede archaeological heritage site in Siavonga, Zambia. 2005: Generated a project proposal for and carried out a Socio-economic Impact Assessment of the Kansanshi Mining project on the Solwezi community on behalf of First Quantum Ltd. 2005: Generated a proposal and supervised a rescue operation to save some archaeological remains from destruction by mining activities at Kansanshi, in Solwezi, Zambia. 2004: Supervised the GRZ/UN funded rehabilitation and site presentation of the Dag Hammarskjoeld historic heritage site in Ndola, Zambia. 2003: Initiated and managed the European Union sponsored rehabilitation of and provision of visitor facilities at Zambezi River source heritage site in Mwinilunga, Zambia. 2002: Designed and managed the NORAD sponsored rehabilitation of and provision of visitor facilities at Kifubwa Rock Art heritage site in Solwezi, Zambia. 2000: Managed the NORAD sponsored establishment of the National Heritage Conservation Commission, North-West Regional Office project in Zambia. The project included: 1998: Managed the Scoping exercise for the development of the Sun International Victoria Falls Hotel Resort in Livingstone, Zambia. 1986-1987: Managed the Financial Family of “The Hunger Project” in Zambia while at the University of Zambia. FIELD RESEARCH 2012 Principal Investigator for a study on Sourcing, Usage and Management of Water among Rural Communities in Zambia during Drought Periods: The Case of Villages in Chongwe District. The study was sponsored by the Integrated Water Resources Management, University of Zambia Centre. 2011: Principal Investigator for an anthropological study on Health Perceptions and Practices among Rural Communities in Luwingu District, Zambia. The study was commissioned by Medecins Sans Frontieres, Zambia office. 2 2010: Co-Principal Investigator for a study: Assessment of the Ministry of Health’s Behaviour Change Communication Campaigns in Zambia. It was sponsored by Communication Support for Health (CSH). 2010: Investigator on the study: Assessment of Approaches, Messages and Materials used by the Ministry of Health to Implement Behaviour Change Communication in Zambia. The study was commissioned by (CSH). 2010: Investigator on the study: Assessment of the Ministry of Health Capacity to Implement Behaviour Change Communication Interventions in Zambia.
