The Case Newspaper! May Edition 2016 WELCOME TO THE CASE NEWSPAPER! This paper has been put together by trainees at CASE. The Queen’s 90th Birthday Lots of events to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday are happening in 2016. She had birthday party which was on ITV with Ant and Dec. The show had 900 horses and lots of celebrities including Dame Shirley Bassey, Dame Helen Mirren, Jim Carter and Katherine Jenkins. Kylie sang I Believe In You , but got a little upstaged by a very cute pony. Other events include: A service of thanksgiving on TV on the 10th June. It is also the Duke of Edinburgh’s 95th birthday on Friday June 10. On Saturday June 11th it is the Queens official birthday and it will be celebrated with a military parade known as Trooping the Colour, which will be on TV at 10 am. Then on Sunday 12th June there will be a Street party in Pall Mall near Buckingham palace. Patron's Lunch 2 Ukraine wins Eurovision Song Contest 2016 Ukraine's Jamala has won this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm in Sweden. The UK's Joe and Jake had a disappointing night, coming third from the bottom with 62 points. Ukraine came 1st with 534 points Australia came 2nd with 511 points. And Russia was 3rd with 491 points. Getting her trophy, she thanked Europe for their votes and said: "I really want peace and love to everyone." New 12-sided £1 coins A new £1 is being made, but will not be out until March 2017. The £1 coin we use now will not be out of date as soon as the new ones are out. There will be six months when both the old and the new pound coins can be used. The Royal Mint, who make all of our coins, say the new design will make pound coins harder to make fake copies. 3 Shakespeare celebrations Even though Shakespeare lived a long time ago, he is still the country's best known playwright and wrote plays like 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Four hundred years after his death William Shakespeare is still one of the most fa- mous writers in the world. Lots of special TV programmes and films are on to celebrate Shakespeare. The Case Abilities group have been working hard on a Shakespeare topic and have written great spells and acted out scenes from plays including Macbeth. Sonia and Teresa acting as witches from Macbeth 4 Ronnie Corbett, best known for The Two Ronnies, dies aged 85 Corbett was one of the UK's best-loved comedians and along with Ronnie Barker, their double act was one of the best of the 1970s and 1980s. Four candles is one of their best sketches, but they had lots other too, like The phantom raspberry blower of old London town and Mastermind. In other news Police officers have found a big hole in a road. A police man said “They are looking into it” Comedian, singer and writer Victoria Wood has died aged 62. Victoria was best known for her BBC sketch Acorn Antiques and comedy Dinnerladies. 5 Leicester City Leicester city are Premier League 2015/2016 champions. The underdogs Leicester City were 5000/1 to win the league. af- ter doing the great escape last season. Jamie Vardy is Leicester City top goal scorer with 47 goals. Gary Lineker has said he has ‘no regrets’ about saying he will host Match of the Day in his underwear after Leicester’s title win. He started playing Boxing Boxing is improving all the time with newly crowned IBF Heavy weight Champion of the World A Joshua. The 26-year-old knocked out Charles Martin in in just two rounds on April 9 to take the belt. AJ will fight Dominic Breazeale at the O2 Arena in London on June 25th 2016. The Death star piñata was beaten and dark side defeated. 9 Rotary games 2016 On Sunday 17th April the Rotary games took place in Scunthorpe. I took part in the rifle shooting, boccia and darts. I was in the semi- finals for boccia and darts. It was a good day and warm. By Carl Temple Jamie-Leigh Fletcher said “It was brilliant” 10 Storm Troopers take charge on Britain's Got Talent The dancing Stormtroopers from Britain’s Got Talent are a dance troupe from Liverpool – and they’re led by a firefighter. Lee Seddon is the leader of the group. They are The grand final of Britain's Got Talent is on Saturday May 28 at 7.10 pm. The Garnett Family from Hornsea got into the live semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent. They were on Monday’s show, but sadly didn’t make it through to the finals. New Top Gear The new show will start Sunday May 29th at 8pm There will also be a new behind-the-scenes show on after the main episode, called Extra Gear. A computational design is made of the Hybrid Gear Box (HGB) using CATIA P3 V5 as a designing software. A new gear meshing in 5 speed manual transmission gear box which synchronizes with the output shaft of the transmission automatically after getting command by the automated system designed. Parameters are considered on the basis of practical model and is been simulated by using Simdriveline as the Simulink tool of MATLAB r2010a. The mechanical properties of the components of the hybrid gear box is calculated on the basis of the functional parameters and with help of the fundamental and dependent properties formulation.

Only this time he would RI/ probably wear an “Easy Rider” helmet, as it would go quite well with the vroom-whoosh styling of Bridge- r stone’s 350 GTO. The effect is quite jarring, for the GTO is only a minor variation of the 350 GTR which first made its appearance in 1967 and has changed little since. The GTR, with its low pipes, was a sleek, dartlike machine, softened with gentle curves in the tank and seat. The only I thing the manufacturers have done to create the GTO is to 1 replace the original muffler system with a pair of huge, high-mounted silencers in gun-metal black, tipped with chrome 1 stinps, and add a cross-brace to the handlebars. It’s a simole change, hut the result is wild. The design becomes m&h husicr. You can no longer call it subtle, or sophisticated, or sleek. It definitely look? cohhy, and the exhaust pipes appear 48 as though they are an afterthought. The engine area does not suffer, as the beautifully polished induction case covers are still in full view, but the total effect is somewhat nervous, Riding the CT0 is rather like riding a two-wheeled exclama- tion point! “Hmmm, what’s that?” the man on the street kept saying to us from every gas station and parking lot, Apparently not everyone in this country seeks to be sleek, soft or subtle. INTRODUCTION Today’s era is marching towards the rapid growth of automobile industries. There is a higher demand of Speed and Performance. But along with all that efficiency and fuel consumption is also important. This Paper gives a detailed study about gear ratios in an automobile gearbox and their relation with Engine Specifications, i.e. Power, Torque, rpm at which maximum power and Torque generate and vehicle utility. Gearboxes are frequently used in an automobile for Power transmission, Because Torque requirement of a vehicle vary with Speed. The main functions of a gear box is as follow: 1. It Provides Torque which is needed to move the vehicle under variety of road and Load conditions. It can be obtain by changing gear ratio between engine crankshaft and vehicle drive wheels. 2. Can shift into Reverse gear so the vehicle can move in backward direction. 3. Can shift into Neutral for rest and starting Position. It tells why gearbox of a Petrol and Diesel Engine is different for the same car, this is explained by taking an example of Maruti Suzuki Swift.
