General description

GPL4i (Going Paperless 4i) extends IBM i's basic printing features in order to respond to document management needs which are more and more oriented towards “paperless” solutions. It exploits the integrations between AS400 applications and Adobe Acrobat, Google apps, Drupal and mobile applications (Android and iOS). Thanks to DMS-WEB, provided on demand with GPL4i, it is possible to publish documents created on AS400 to a website and view them from any PC with any browser. The same published information is visible on your cell phone by installing the GPL4i mobile application (for Android and iOS devices) and by setting up the address associated with your DMS-Web provided by us.

View documents created on AS400 directly on your smartphone Carry important documents created on AS400 around with you all the time. Thanks to the GPL4i mobile app, documents will be reachable wherever you are. The app has the same features of DMS-web, so it offers category navigation and research possibility.

Application setup

Once downloaded, the program will take you through a demo website. In order to really use the application, it is necessary to set it up by inserting the address that DMS-WEB provided to you after purchasing GPL4i. DMS-WEB is an optional product which you need to request during the purchase process. The mobile application is included in the DMS-WEB license. Once the application is open it is possible to configure the DMS-WEB URL address by clicking the gear button. To navigate in your documents you only need to delete the demo website address from the text box and to insert your DMS-WEB one. It is not possible to provide addresses which are not provided by us; as a matter of fact they will not be accepted. Clearly it is necessary to have an internet connection on your mobile phone to be able to use the application.
