The Doors Experience: Celebration of the 1st Doors Album Dieser Tage feiert das legendäre Debütalbum "The Doors" seinen 40. Geburtstag! Das Werk der gleichnamigen Kultband um Jim Morrison enthält Hits wie Light My Fire, den Brecht- Klassiker Alabama Song, Break On Through und das rund zwölfminütige Meisteropus The End, das auch heute noch wegen seiner von Morrison künstlerisch inszenierten ödipalen Fantasien für Aufsehen sorgt. Die österreichische Tribute-Band "The Doors Experience" bringt seit mittlerweile über sechs Jahren erfolgreich die Musik von Jim Morrison und den Doors auf europäische Bühnen - verbunden mit einer erstklassigen Live-Show. Maßgeblich an der überzeugenden Performance beteiligt ist Frontman & Bandleader Jason "Jim" Boiler, der Jim Morrison in Gestik, Stimme, Optik und Charisma um nichts nachsteht. Natürlich inszenieren The Doors Experience das runde Jubiläum des Doors Debüt-Albums für ihre Fans in gebührender Weise: Neben vielen weiteren Doors-Klassikern aus dem Repertoire - wie L. A. Woman, People Are Strange, Riders On The Storm, Roadhouse Blues oder Touch Me - wird nun bei ausgewählten Shows das gesamte erste Album in Original-Reihenfolge gespielt. Grascher 2 Introduction Throughout the course of American history, there have been several prominent social and political revolutions carried out by citizens dissatisfied with the existing American institutions run by the government and its civil servants. Of these revolutions, Vietnam War and civil rights protest among youth in the 1960s was of the most influential, shaping American society in the decades to come. With US involvement in Vietnam escalating and the call for African-American civil rights becoming more insistent by the year, thousands of America’s youth took to the streets to protest the country’s foreign and domestic policies and to challenge the US government, much to the anger of America’s older generations. Artists played a critical role in the unrest, including musicians who encouraged a reformation of American society’s established norms through revolution.

I’m The Doors Experience Alter Schlachthof Wels 21 February 2015 using too many exclamation marks but they are necessary, believe me! Oops, there goes another one. Old loves die hard: I have been a fan of The Doors since I was 16 years old. You do the maths how long ago, it’s too depressing for me. As well as two other Doors cover bands (one from Vienna, one from Berlin) I saw Ray Manzarek (R.I.P., sadly) solo (on my honeymoon to boot!), Robby Krieger solo in New York (coincidentally, whilst being on holiday) and The Doors 21K/Riders on the Storm/Manzarek-Krieger [they had to change the name of the band repeatetly because of John Densmore’s veto; he went to court about this and eventually wrote a book about the legal struggles between him and Ray +Robby entitled The Doors Unhinged] three times feat.

Is Everybody In? Experience the Ultimate Doors Tribute Show... The Doors have captured the imagination of every generation since their songs flew to the top of the charts in 1967 and the world was first introduced to their unique sound and charismatic front man, Jim Morrison.
