ANSWERS ATTORNEY GENERAL Attorney General: Brexit Gareth Thomas: [219252] To ask the Attorney General, which EU agencies his Department plans to seek continued membership of after the UK has left the EU; and if he will make a statement. Robert Buckland: During the Implementation Period, the terms of the UK’s participation in EU agencies and bodies will be as set out in Article 128 of the Withdrawal Agreement. Following our exit from the European Union, we are committed to maintaining a close and collaborative relationship with the EU. Our future partnership is a matter for the next phase of negotiations and we look forward to constructive discussions with the EU. Attorney General: Data Protection Mr George Howarth: [220098] To ask the Attorney General, prior to the formal notification to the Information Commissioner's Office of Paul Woods' appointment as the Data Protection Officer in his Department, who else was appointed to that role; and for what periods of time those appointments were made. Robert Buckland: Data Protection compliance at the Attorney General’s Office was managed as part of a wider role in the office and was in place from April 2015.
