The differences are small and will be reviewed again at the beginning of November. • Hand sanitiser - use of hand sanitiser on entering and leaving church should continue. We recommend you have a small personal hand-sanitiser too. • Face coverings - all those attending church are recommended to wear a face covering unless they are exempt from doing so to show your care and concern for others – it is about you keeping others safe. • Social Distancing and Capacity of Churches - reduced church capacities based on a minimum of 1metre spacing between households or bubbles will continue. Every other bench will be closed off. • Booking for Mass is no longer required. In Jarrow we will still keep track and trace information for the time being which means we will seek details of new attendees. • The One-Way System will continue along with extra ventilation for the time being. • Singing in Church is to be reintroduced gradually This Sunday 26 September is World Day of Migrants and Refugees . Pope Francis’s theme is 'Towards an ever wider "we"'. It is an occasion to express concern for different vulnerable people on the move; to pray for them as they face many challenges; and to increase awareness about the opportunities that migration offers. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are asked to renew their commitment at Sunday Masses on the weekend of 2nd/3rd October. If you know of anyone who is a minister, please let them know. A Special Welcome to the parish family to Esmae-Mary Black who was Baptised at St. Mary’s last weekend. Please pray for Eddie Treanor who died recently. May he rest in peace. The Sanctuary Lamp will burn in St. Bede’s for those suffering from anxiety, in St. Joseph’s for Margaret & John Jones and Deceased Family. We are endeavouring to re-open the Parish Hall, and are going through the required procedures as laid down by the Diocese, and Diocesan Insurance group. The mandatory Health and Safety Audit has been done and results analysed by the insurers. One requirement before we can re-open is we have to set up a dedicated cleaning protocol, which is covid secure, and has to be followed for all hall openings/closings. On Saturday 2nd October we will be holding a meeting at 10-45am after Mass to explain what is needed, and how we hope to implement it. If you think that you can help please attend this meeting, as without enough volunteers we will be unable to open the Hall at this time. If you are unable to attend but wish to help please have a word with Fr Saji, or Paul Simpson. Many thanks. Cafod.org.uk/climatecrisis: Family Fast Day Friday 1st October .
