Master of Engineering or Master of Technology is most often abbreviated as M.E / M. Tech is a Postgraduate Programme in Engineering or Technology. This is generally a 2 year specialization programme in a specific branch of engineering or a technical field. The ME / M.Tech programmes in India are usually structured as an Engineering Research Degree, lesser than Ph.D and considered to be parallel to M.Phil and M.S Degrees in Humanities and Science respectively. M.Tech in India was started by some well known institutions with the aim of producing Research Engineers who can get the position of “Technologist” as well in the Industries and Research Institutes. More than 50 Universities including IITs and NITs have launched M.Tech. by research for external candidates who are engaged in their duties and are earning. Most of the educational institutes offering engineering courses preferred to have M. Tech candidate for faculty position.

Eligibility : A Bachelor Degree in Engineering or M. Sc in the relevant branches of science / applied science.

Course Fee:

M. Tech : Total fees is Rs.107200/-. Rs.57200/- is to be deposited at the time of admission and remaining amount to be paid at the time of submission of the Thesis. Guide fees will be extra.

Documents required for Admission

1. Filled application form with four recent colored passport size photos. 2. Photocopy of 10th, 12th, Graduation mark sheets and certificate. 3. Photocopy of ID and address proof. 4. Migration certificate in original.

M. Tech Course process:

1. The filled application form along with the documents & the fee will be submitted by the student to us.

2. We will submit the application form along with the documents & the fee to the university. Once the documents and fees is submitted to the university, the provisional letter of admission will be issued. Same will be collected from the university by us and will be handed over to the student.

3. The university will provide enrollment number and I card.

4. The University will conduct exams in every six months. Exams will be conducted at our center.

5. The student will write the Thesis with the help of guide and submit it to the University for approval within a minimum of 24 months.

6. The Post graduate student undergoes a viva voce examination to be conducted at CMJ / EIHE campus.

7. The University shall issue a Provisional Certificate certifying to the effect that the Degree has been awarded in accordance with the provisions of these regulations of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and EIHE will courier the Degree certificate at Students contact address.

CMJ UNIVERSITY

CMJ University was established in the year 2009 by an Act of Meghalaya State Legislature under the CMJ University Act, 2009 (Act 4 of 2009) vide Notification No. LL (B) 42/09/80 dated 20th July, 2009. The CMJ University is notified by UGC (Ministry of HRD, Government of India), New Delhi as state private university under section 2(f) and empowered to award Diploma, Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees as specified by the UGC under section 22 of UGC Act 1956, as per Notification F. No. 8-21/2010 (CPP-1/PU) dated 25th November, 2010.
