Koichiro Kitade, a marketing whiz who headed the office, was roping in hundreds of wealthy new clients. But he had a tin ear for regulation. NDA 21-976/S003 - 4 – NDA 21-976/S004 PREZISTA™* (Tibotec, Inc.) (darunavir) Tablets 1. DESCRIPTION PREZISTA™ (darunavir) is an inhibitor of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) protease. PREZISTA™ (darunavir), in the form of darunavir ethanolate, has the following chemical name: [(1S,2R)-3-[[(4-aminophenyl)sulfonyl](2-methylpropyl)amino]-2-hydroxy-1- (phenylmethyl)propyl]-carbamic acid (3R,3aS,6aR)-hexahydrofuro[2,3-b]furan-3-yl ester monoethanolate. Its molecular formula is C27H37N3O7S • C2H5OH and its molecular weight is 593.73. Darunavir ethanolate has the following structural formula: H OO O H OO S H O N N • C2H5OH H H H OH H3C NH2 CH3 Darunavir ethanolate is a white to off-white powder with a solubility of approximately 0.15 mg/mL in water at 20°C. PREZISTA 300 mg and PREZISTA 600 mg tablets are available as orange, oval-shaped, film- coated tablets for oral administration. Each 300 mg tablet contains darunavir ethanolate equivalent to 300 mg of darunavir. Each 600 mg tablet contains darunavir ethanolate equivalent to 600 mg of darunavir. During storage, partial conversion from ethanolate to hydrate may occur; however, this does not affect product quality or performance. Each tablet also contains the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, and microcrystalline cellulose. The tablet film coating, OPADRY® Orange, contains FD&C Yellow No. 6, polyethylene glycol 3350, polyvinyl alcohol-partially hydrolyzed, talc, and titanium dioxide. January 3, 2010 Citi’s Creator, Alone With His Regrets By KATRINA BROOKER “THIS is my final annual meeting as chairman,” says Sandy Weill, standing near the window of his office, peering at a grainy photograph of him and his wife on stage at Carnegie Hall more than three years ago. They are smiling broadly, and behind them is a packed house of cheering Citigroup shareholders. A huge banner dangling from the balcony reads “Thank You Sandy.” On that day, April 18, 2006, Citi’s share price was $48.48. After studying the photo for a few moments, Mr. Weill says quietly, “I thought the company was impregnable.” He knows now, of course, that he was wrong. Over the last two years, Mr. Weill has watched Citi — a company he built brick by brick during the final act of a 50-year career — nearly fall apart. Although every taxpayer in the country has paid for Citi’s outsize mistakes, for Mr. Weill the bank’s myriad woes are a commentary on his life’s work. “Sandy will forever be identified with Citigroup,” says Michael Armstrong, a Citi board member and a former chief of AT&T. -

Johnson & Johnson Excluding Special Charges 2002 Second Quarter EPS Rose 17.6% Sales Increased 10.9% New Brunswick, NJ (July 16, 2002) -- Johnson & Johnson today announced record sales of $9.1 billion, an increase of 10.9% over second-quarter 2001 results. Excluding the impact of currency, worldwide sales increased 10.7%. Domestic sales increased 10.7%, while international sales increased 11.3%. Johnson & Johnson also announced net earnings and diluted earnings per share for the second quarter of $1.7 billion and $.54, increases of 11.6% and 12.5% respectively, as compared to the same period in 2001. Excluding special charges related to acquisitions, net earnings and diluted earnings per share were $1.8 billion and $.60, increases of 16.4% and 17.6% respectively, over second-quarter 2001 results. After-tax special charges of $189 million in 2002 include in-process R&D costs associated with the acquisitions of Tibotec-Virco and Obtech Medical AG that were completed during the quarter. The after-tax special charge of $102 million in 2001 was due to one-time costs associated with the ALZA merger. “Our double-digit growth in sales and earnings reflects the broad-based strength of each of our business segments in all geographic regions of the world,”said William C. Weldon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Of particular note is the strong performance of the worldwide medical devices and diagnostics business as well as the international pharmaceutical and domestic consumer businesses.” Worldwide Pharmaceutical sales of $4.3 billion for the quarter resulted in an increase of 10.2% over the same period in 2001. -

The company also presented new data on PREZISTA® at the 48th Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC) in Washington, D.C., from 25-28 October 2008. These presentations follow key regulatory approvals and decisions for PREZISTA® and INTELENCE™ (etravirine), a next-generation non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI). The company continues to research various compounds in hepatitis C, tuberculosis and HIV. Recent Regulatory Milestones for Tibotec in HIV ● 28 August 2008 - The European Commission approved etravirine, in combination with a boosted protease inhibitor and other antiretroviral medicinal products, for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection in antiretroviral treatment-experienced adult patients. ● 21 October 2008 - The U.S. FDA granted traditional approval to darunavir, coadministered with low dose ritonavir, for twice-daily use in treatment-experienced adult patients, as well as an expanded indication for once-daily dosing as part of HIV combination therapy in treatment-naïve adults (those who have never taken HIV medication before).
