The Bank of , School Houses, Town Hall, Court House and Gaol, the ,,hree former being built of brick and the latter of stone, are all situated in the North Ward, and all (with the exception of the schools, which are on George street) on Christina street. The streets, generally, are regularly kid out at right angles, the only exception being between Front and Christina streets, where, in consequence of the former being on the river line, it causes an angle in many of the lots. The sidewalks are good, and in Front street eleven feet wide, the other streets generally four feet.
