BIENNIAL REPORT

2020-2021 With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic , this is a difficult time for our nation and indeed the worldwide community. It was unfortunate that we had to cancel our 2020 Horatio Alger Awards Induction Ceremonies as well as the National Scholars Conference, but we did so in accordance with , D.C., guidelines and in the best health and safety interests of our Members, Life Partners, and Scholars. As a result, there will be no 2020 class of new Members. Instead those who would have been inducted in 2020 will become the 2021 class of new Members and we look forward to celebrating their inductions in Washington, D.C., in April 8 – 10, 2021. Our 2020 National Scholars will be college freshmen in the fall. We hope to host a National Scholars Conference for them in the late summer of 2020, but that is dependent on the status of the virus at that time. We are living in unprecedented times, but will—as we always have—persevere through this current challenge. We wish each of you the very best now and in the future.
