Dr. Stephen E. Cross, (Lt Col, USAF retired) Chair, AFIT Subcommittee

Dr. Stephen E. Cross is the Former Executive Vice President for Research and faculty member of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Cross conducts research and lectures on leadership, innovation ecosystems, strategic planning, culture change, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. He provides public service through several federal, industry, and university advisory boards. Dr. Cross retired from the as a Lieutenant .

Dr. Carolyn C. Dahl

Dr. Carolyn Dahl has been a higher education leader for more than 30 years, serving in senior positions in three public universities. Dr. Dahl served as the chief continuing education officer at two universities. She has also been active in national organizations that advance learning and community engagement.

Gen Stephen R. Lorenz, USAF (Ret)

General Stephen R. Lorenz (USAF, retired) is the former President and CEO of the U.S. Air Force Academy’s USAFA Endowment. General Lorenz retired from the United States Air Force as the Commander, Air Education and Training Commander. General Lorenz’s prior assignments include: Commander, Air University; and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial and Comptroller.

CMSAF Rodney McKinley, USAF (Ret)

Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Rodney J. McKinley is a top‐level, results‐driven leader with broad and extensive experience directing operations, strategic relationships, and complex programs. CMSAF McKinley was the 15th CMSAF from 2006 ‐2009. The CMSAF represents the highest enlisted level of leadership, and as such, provides direction for the enlisted corps and represents their interests, as appropriate, to the American public, and to those in all levels of government. He serves as the personal adviser to the Chief of Staff and the Secretary of the Air Force on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of the enlisted force.
