GETTING TO THE MERCEDES-BENZ CORPORATE RUN

What You Should Know Over 27,000 participants are expected in Downtown Miami on Thursday April 23th, 2015. Continue reading for road closure, detour, course map, transit, and driving information.

Bayfront Park is located at 301 North Biscayne Blvd, Miami FL 33132

Taking Transit to Bayfront Park You will need an EASY Card or EASY Ticket to ride on Metrorail. The round trip fare is $4.50 and parking at the Metrorail stations is $4.50 per day, including weekends and holidays. Visit Miami-Dade Transit’s home page, www.miamidade.gov/transit, for complete schedules, station maps, parking locations, and more. Or use their iPhone or Android app, www.miamidade.gov/transit/transit-tracker-app.asp.

To get to Bayfront Park, ride Metrorail to either Government Center Station or to the Station. Then ride the free to Bayfront Park. We strongly recommend exiting at either First Street Station or College Bayside MetroMover Stations. Those two stops

service all Tent Areas north of Flagler St and the shortest route to the entrance of the starting corrals.

Purchasing a Transit Easy Card You will need an EASY Card or EASY Ticket to ride Metrorail. You can buy an EASY Card or EASY Ticket at any EASY Card ticket vending machine located at Metrorail stations. The ticket vending machines accept cash and credit cards. A two way ticket costs $4.50.

Parking at a Station Parking at the Metrorail stations is $4.50. Paying for parking on race day can take up to one hour due to the high volume of transit users. Pay for parking from the ticket vending machines at the station.

Driving Due to road closures, detours, the expected crowd of over 27,000, please allow extra time when driving.

We recommend using the Metromover even when driving. Park at any lot or garage in or near Downtown then ride the free Metromover to the Park.

Garage #1 – Courthouse, 40 NW 3rd St Nearest MetroMover Station: Government Center

Garage #2 – Cultural Center, 90 SW 1st St Nearest MetroMover Station: Miami Ave Station

Garage #3 – College Station Garage, 190 NE 3rd Nearest MetroMover Station: College/Bayside OR walk 3 blocks east and 1 block south to Bayfront Park

Garage #4 – Convention Center Garage, 100 SE 2nd Nearest MetroMover Station: Knight Center Station OR walk 4 blocks east and 1 block north to Bayfront Park

Bayside Marketplace Garage 401 Biscayne Blvd. This garage is adjacent to Bayfront Park. Access the garage via the Port Blvd entrance. Walk 1 block south to Bayfront Park.

Street Closures and Detours start at 2:00pm for the April 23, 2015 Miami Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run Over 27,000 Participants are expected in Downtown Miami

2:00pm: Street detours/lane closures start

2:00pm: Northbound lanes of Biscayne Blvd., from Chopin Plaza to NE 5 ST will close. The Southbound lanes will offer two-way traffic and special attention will be given to entry and exit of Chopin Plaza (Hotel Intercontinental and One Miami).

At 6:00pm: Northbound Brickell Ave traffic will be sent West on SE 7 ST. Only traffic going to Hotel Intercontinental and One Miami will be allowed over the Brickell Bridge.

At 6:30pm: All traffic along the course is stopped. No traffic will be allowed in or out of the area bound on the east by Biscayne Blvd, on the south and west by the , and on the north by North 4 St. Take advantage of the Metrorail and Metromover.

6:45pm to 9:00pm: Actual Race time

7:15pm to 8:45pm: Roadways reopen as the last of the participants pass and Miami Police Department deems it safe. Estimates: Brickell Blvd/Biscayne Blvd Way should reopen by 7:20pm SE 3rd Ave should open by 7:30pm SE 2nd St should reopen by 7:40pm North River Drive should reopen by 7:50pm NW 5th St should reopen by 8:00pm NW 3rd Ct/NW 3rd St should reopen by 8:20pm N. Miami Ave should reopen by 8:30pm NE 2nd St should reopen by 8:40pm NE 2nd Ave should reopen by 8:50pm NE 4th St should reopen by 9:00pm

12:00am: Northbound Biscayne Blvd open to traffic

Note 1: Streets north of NW/NE 4th Street, West of the Miami River, or South of Biscayne Blvd. Way are not affected by closures.

Note 2: After 2:00pm, use 395/MacArthur CSWY and exit on Biscayne Blvd to access the Port of Miami or use the Port Tunnel.
