Phoenix, Arizona native Brooke Lipton was a rising star in the Los Angeles dance scene by the young age of twelve. She spent her summers dancing at LA studios and conventions and was highly sought after by the industry’s top choreographers. Brooke moved to LA to pursue her dream of being a professional dancer, and since then Brooke has worked with artists such as Madonna, Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, and Paula Abdul, to name a few. Brooke toured the world with Britney Spears for over eight years, joining the Dream Within A Dream, The Onyx Hotel, and Circus promo tours. She choreographed for six seasons on FOX’s hit television show Glee, which had over 750 musical performances. Glee’s phenomenal success also included two world tours, two seasons of spin-off reality series The Glee Project, and Glee: The 3D Concert Movie. On Glee, Brooke worked with iconic stars such as Shirley MacLaine, Carol Burnett, Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristen Chenoweth, and Ricky Martin. Brooke’s choreography can be seen on Bones, The Goldbergs, Chasing Life, American Horror Story, and The New Normal. While hard at work in the dance world, she is also a mother of two children. She continues to teach internationally, giving back to the dance community that she loves so much. .

    A Brief History of the Morehouse College Glee Club The Morehouse College Glee Club is the premier singing organization of Morehouse College, traveling all over the country and the world, demonstrating excellence not only in choral performance but also in discipline, dedication, and brotherhood. Through its tradition the Glee Club has an impressive history and seeks to secure its future through even greater accomplishments, continuing in this tradition through the dedication and commitment of its members and the leadership that its directors have provided throughout the years. It is the mission of the Morehouse College Glee Club to maintain a high standard of musical excellence. In 1911, Morehouse College, then under the name of Atlanta Baptist College, had a music professor named Georgia Starr. She served the College from 1903-1905 and again from 1908- 1911. Mr. Kemper Harreld, who officially founded the Morehouse College Glee Club, assumed leadership when he joined the College’s music faculty in the fall of 1911. Mr. Harreld became both, Chair of the Music Department and Director of the Glee Club. After faithfully serving for forty-two years, he retired in 1953. Mr. Harreld was responsible for beginning the Glee Club’s strong legacy of excellence that has since been passed down to all members of the organization. The Glee Club’s history continues in 1953 with the second director, Wendell Phillips Whalum, Sr., '52. Dr. Whalum was a prized student of Kemper Harreld. He served as Student Director during his tenure in the Glee Club. Dr. Whalum, was more commonly known as "Doc", and served Morehouse College and the Glee Club with the continued tradition of excellence through expanded repertoire and national and international exposure throughout his tenure at the College.

As television must always create its spaces and places on the screen, what, then, is the significance of the varying emphases as well as the commonalities constructed in televisual high school settings in UK, US, and Japanese television shows? This master’s thesis considers how fictional televisual high schools both contest and construct national identity. In order to do this, it posits the existence of the televisual school story, a descendant of the literary school story. It then compares the formal and narrative ways in which Glee (2009-2015), Hex (2004-2005), and Ouran koukou hosutobu (2006) deploy space and place to create identity on the screen.     FACTSHEET December 2012 The Princeton University Glee Club (PUGC), Princeton's oldest and most prestigious choir, was founded in 1874 by Andrew Fleming West '74, the first Dean of the Graduate College and continues to be the premier vocal ensemble at Princeton University. WHY IS IT CALLED A 'GLEE CLUB'? The name 'Glee Club' comes from 18th Century England – specifically from Harrow School (where the Glee Club's current director was educated!). The term referred then to a small group of men singing parlour songs, folk songs and other ditties in close harmony, normally without accompaniment. The early American Glee Clubs were based on this model but have since exploded in to the large ensembles we now find at many Ivy League schools. At Princeton we keep the name 'Glee Club' out of reverence for this tradition. WHO IS THE DIRECTOR? Gabriel Crouch has been the director of musical and choral performance at Princeton University and the director of the Princeton University Glee Club since 2010. Before his current post, Mr. Crouch was a member of the world renowned British vocal ensemble, the King’s Singers. In 2005, Mr. Crouch left the King’s Singers to accept the position as head of the choral program at DePauw University until joining the faculty at Princeton. Mr. Crouch holds a degree from the University of Cambridge where he completed a choral scholarship at Trinity College. HOW LARGE IS THE GLEE CLUB? The precise number of the Glee Club fluctuates from anywhere between 60 and 80 members. Currently, there are around 80 students who are current members of Glee Club as well as a piano accompanist who is also a student.

This musical comedy, focusing on a high school glee club, incorporates numerous stereotypes and real-world teenage struggles. This thesis focuses on the queer characteristics of four female personalities: Santana, Brittany, Coach Beiste, and Coach Sue. I investigate how their musical performances are producing a constructive form of mass media by challenging hegemonic femininity through camp and by producing relatable queer female role models. In addition, I take an ethnographic approach by examining online fan blogs from the host site Tumblr.
