REVISED DRIVER LINE-UP FOR NEW ERA AT TOYOTA GAZOO RACING Thursday 4 February 2016 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing today revealed the driver line-up which will lead it into a new era of World Endurance Championship competition. A completely new TS050 HYBRID car has been developed for this season, with significant changes to all areas, including monocoque, engine and hybrid system to meet the team’s ambitious performance targets. On the driver front, 2014 World Champions Anthony Davidson and Sébastien Buemi are again joined by Kazuki Nakajima for a second consecutive season together. In the other car, former TOYOTA Formula 1 racer Kamui Kobayashi steps up from test and reserve driver to a race seat for 2016, replacing the retired Alex Wurz. He will race alongside Stéphane Sarrazin and Mike Conway. Race numbers for the 2016 season will be revealed on 5 February by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, organisers of the WEC and the Le Mans 24 Hours. Kamui’s elevation to a race seat leaves a vacancy as test and reserve driver, which will be announced, along with full technical details of the TS050 HYBRID, at a launch event on 24 March at the Paul Ricard circuit in France. The new driver line-up was announced earlier today at a TOYOTA GAZOO Racing press conference in Tokyo, Japan, at which the team’s new TOYOTA GAZOO Racing identity was also revealed. As well as an updated logo, a 2015 show car displayed the new black, white and red livery which will be modified for the TS050 HYBRID.

Within 16 laps Calado was pitting for a top up on fuel and fresh tires after a caution was brought out and nearly all cars headed to pit lane. Although he exited the pits in P5 in the GTLM class, he continued to climb the timing charts and was soon leading the GTLM class. Calado pitted on Lap 239 at about 8hr40 minutes into the 24-hour race while leading to hand the car over to Italian Davide Rigon.

With third place overall in Phoenix Racing's Audi LMS R8 Marc Bronzel (Siek), Luca Ludwig (Roisdorf), Dennis Rostek (Porta Westfalica) and Markus Winkelhock (Berglen) presented the team with an unexpected surprise since this quartet did not even number among the favorites before the race started. The conservative and mechanically easy going driving style of the Phoenix squad, however, paid dividends: The Audi R8 LMS with start number 97 ran – apart from a small electronical problem during the opening stages – with the smallest technical problem. PRESS INFORMATION MICHELIN HELPS IMSA DELIVER FAST, CLOSE RACING AT THE GLEN Mazda, Porsche, Acura Prevail in “Cool” Watkins Glen Watkins Glen, N.Y., June 30, 2019 --- Michelin marked the midpoint of its first season as the Official Tire of IMSA as it has since the outset, by working closely with manufacturers, teams and drivers to help them deliver incredibly close competition and another batch of new records. The combined margin of victory in the three premier IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship classes was just 1.48 seconds after six hours of racing at the historic 3.4-mile Watkins Glen International circuit. While last year Michelin recorded track temperatures in excess of 140 degrees Fahrenheit, the highest of the season, this year cooler temperatures prevailed. A weekend of extremes in temperatures, which reached 117 on Friday eventually ceded to a cool race day at the smooth, fast, high energy, high-load circuit where the race day track temperature topped out at 82 degrees. The weekend also saw a popular new overall winner with Mazda Team Joest scoring a long overdue maiden DPi victory. Learning and Growing Into Second Half of 2019 To kick off the second half of the season, Michelin brought its semi-confidential IMSA Hard compound tire for its debut in DPi/LMP2, the top two classes of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Meanwhile the WeatherTech GT Daytona and IMSA MICHELIN Pilot Challenge GS class cars raced with the MICHELIN® Pilot® Sport GT S9M hard compound commercial slicks for the first time in 2019. The hard compound tire is tuned specifically for circuits where drivers traditionally encounter the highest loads and track temperatures of the season.
