Pursuant to House Rule No. 23, the Clerk called the House to order. Representative Greenspan was selected to preside under the Rule. The journal of yesterday was read and approved.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS The following bills were introduced: H. B. No. 471 - Representative Gonzales. Cosponsors: Representatives Reineke, Strahorn. To amend sections 123.01, 123.21, 123.211, 125.035, and 153.01 of the Revised Code to specify that the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission's powers do not extend to letting or administering contracts that fall under the power of the Department of Administrative Services to make changes to existing facilities. H. B. No. 472 - Representative Cera. To enact section 5534.891 of the Revised Code to designate a portion of State Route 164 in the Village of Bergholz as the "Pvt. David Rhoades Memorial Highway." Said bills were considered the first time.

No. 81 - Senator Terhar Cosponsors: Senators Coley, Bacon, Balderson, Beagle, Brown, Burke, Dolan, Eklund, Hackett, Hoagland, Hottinger, Huffman, Jordan, LaRose, Lehner, Manning, McColley, Obhof, O'Brien, Oelslager, Sykes, Thomas, Uecker, Williams, Wilson To amend section 2923.125 of the Revised Code to waive the concealed carry license fee for active members of the armed forces and retired and honorably discharged veterans, to accept military experience with firearms as proof of competency with firearms regardless of when the applicant for a license acquired the experience, to permit a licensee to renew a concealed handgun license at any time before the expiration of the license, and to require the Attorney General to monitor the number of license fees waived and cap the total amount allowed to be waived at $1.5 million.
