Most Influential Celebrity Kids Most Influential Celebrity Kids In an era when every celebrity move is caught on camera and tracked on Twitter, it’s no surprise that celebrity children can achieve first-name-only fame before their first birthday. Suri, Shiloh, Honor, and Cruz—the stars of celebrity tabloid covers and baby blogs in which their every outfit and tantrum is documented. These kids have marketable and measureable influence. They spur clothing sales with what they wear, they sell magazines with their cute faces, and they prop up their parents’ popularity by giving them a human identity far from the glamorous silver and small screen personas. Which child rules the celebrity baby zeitgeist? To measure the cultural impact and import of celebrity offspring, The Daily Beast considered how well known and appealing they are to the public, as well as how much media coverage and online content is devoted to them. An initial ranking of more than 70 celebrity children under the age of 6 was conducted using press and online media mentions in the last year. From there, we asked E-Poll Market Research to measure the relative appeal of children who ranked among the Top 20 in terms of media power. E-Poll measures the likeability and awareness of celebrities and public figures based on in-depth survey results of 46 attribute ratings. For the final ranking, the E-score was weighted twice the media and online presence. 20. • Actors' Stories Are a SAG Awards® Tradition
Actors' Stories are a SAG Awards® Tradition When the first Screen Actors Guild Awards® were presented on March 8, 1995, the ceremony opened with a speech by Angela Lansbury introducing the concept behind the SAG Awards and the Actor® statuette. During her remarks she shared a little of her own history as a performer: "I've been Elizabeth Taylor's sister, Spencer Tracy's mistress, Elvis' mother and a singing teapot." She ended by telling the audience of SAG Awards nominees and presenters, "Tonight is dedicated to the art and craft of acting by the people who should know about it: actors. And remember, you're one too!" Over the Years This glimpse into an actor’s life was so well received that it began a tradition of introducing each Screen Actors Guild Awards telecast with a distinguished actor relating a brief anecdote and sharing thoughts about what the art and craft mean on a personal level. For the first eight years of the SAG Awards, just one actor performed that customary opening. For the 9th Annual SAG Awards, however, producer Gloria Fujita O'Brien suggested a twist. She observed it would be more representative of the acting profession as a whole if several actors, drawn from all ages and backgrounds, told shorter versions of their individual journeys. To add more fun and to emphasize the universal truths of being an actor, the producers decided to keep the identities of those storytellers secret until they popped up on camera. An August Lineage Ever since then, the SAG Awards have begun with several of these short tales, typically signing off with his or her name and the evocative line, "I Am an Actor™." So far, audiences have been delighted by 107 of these unique yet quintessential Actors' Stories.

The West Wing Weekly 6.09: “Impact Winter” Guest: Ben Murray [Intro Music] JOSH: Hello, you’re listening to The West Wing Weekly. I’m Joshua Malina. HRISHI: And I’m Hrishikesh Hirway. This episode first aired on December 15th, 2004. HRISHI: Two episodes ago, in episode 6:07, the title was “A Change is Gonna Come,” and I think in this episode the changes arrive. JOSH: Aaaahhh. HRISHI: The President goes to China, but he is severely impaired by his MS. Charlie pushes C.J. to consider her next step after she steps out of the White House, and Josh considers his next step after it turns out Donna has already considered what her next step will be. JOSH: Indeed. HRISHI: Later in this episode we’re going to be joined by Ben Murray who made his debut on The West Wing in the last episode. He plays Curtis, the president’s new personal assistant to replace Charlie. JOSH: A man who has held Martin Sheen in his arms. I mean, I’ve done that off camera, but he did it on television. HRISHI: [Laughs] Little do our listeners know that Martin Sheen insists on being carried everywhere. JOSH: That’s right. I was amazed all these years later when Martin showed up for his interview with us that Ben was carrying him. That was the first time we met him.
