NUMBER OF PASSENGERS: A maximum of 60 passengers on each of twelve inbound flights, 9 staff and crew on each flight. A total of 195 passengers for the season are anticipated. Fifteen ground-based expedition staff and 45 operations staff will facilitate activities on-Continent. ITINERARY: A number of flights to and within Antarctica are planned, according to the following itinerary. Equipment to be used within Antarctica include one De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter and one Douglas DC3-TP67 aircraft, inter alia, for passenger transport, logistic and medivac support. All expeditions depart from and return to Punta Arenas via base camp at Patriot Hills. Site visits may vary depending on weather and ice conditions. - South Pole Flight (flights from Patriot Hills to South Pole): December 3-10, 2009; December 10-16; December 29-January 4, 2010; January 4-10. They have been published by Brazil (INT 9126 and INT 9127) and Ecuador (INT 9129). No New Edition (NE) has been published during the reporting period. 18 INT Charts (NC or NE) are planned for publication in 2013 – 2015. They have been marked in yellow in the catalogue below. Doc.
