Today”

On the 18th September Cadets enjoyed a valuable opportunity to meet members of the local community at the 13th Sandbach Today event, which showcased the work of voluntary groups in the Town. Cadets also met Sandbach Mayor Gillian Merry, Mayor Gordon Baxendale and MP Fiona Bruce.

Joint Police & Fire Service’s Community Engagement Day

During what was a busy weekend for us, Sandbach Cadets attended the Joint Services Engagement Day at Cheshire Police HQ on the 19th September. We had the opportunity to see various demonstrations & Exhibits and also took part in the Cadet Hose Competition. Sandbach competed against Birchwood, Holmes Chapel & in a very closely fought series of drills and eventually finished in Second Place.

We’ve received some very positive feedback from both of the above events – well done & thank you to all who took part and contributed to their success!

Cheshire East Parents & Carers “Fun Day”

On the 26th September Craig & Anita attended the CEPC Fun Day at Sandbach School in support of the Service’s Deaf Person’s Advocate Melanie Pitts & the Deaf Support Network. During a busy day, visitors were given a wide range of Fire & Road Safety information and had the opportunity to learn more about the Cadet Scheme and role of Volunteers.
