Summer Programs 2016 - Save the date! At Cincinnati Ballet Academy, we know summer changes everything. With school out of session, summer offers the time and freedom to fuel your passion and take your dancing to the next level. From Kids Dance Camp to Summer Intensive, Cincinnati Ballet Academy hosts a variety of summer programs fit for all levels of training.

Below, please see the dates for some of our summer program offerings for 2016. Additional programs will be announced at a later date. Registration for Kids Dance Camp and Youth Summer Intensive will not open for another few weeks. We will notify Academy families when registration materials become available. Kids Dance Camp Monday - Friday, 9:30-12:30 PM

Designed for dancers ages 4-8,  June 6 - 10, Enchanted Kingdom these week-long programs  July 18 - 22, At the Aquarium immerse students in a dance-themed adventure  July 25 - 29, Under the Big Top they won’t soon forget!  August 1 - 5, Treasures of Toyland

Pre Pointe Workshop Monday - Friday, 2:00-4:30 PM  June 6 - 10 Essential foundations for success on pointe. Placement in the Pre Pointe Workshop is Designed for dancers ages 10-14 based on teacher evaluation and who have recently relevant classical ballet coursework, along advanced to pointe work. with a current evaluation from a dance medicine professional and qualified instructor for pointe readiness.

Youth Summer Intensive One, two, or three weeks available. Proficiency and progress for the  July 18 - 22 aspiring pre-professional student! Three unique divisions provide  July 25 - 29 individual attention and custom instruction for reaching the next  August 1 - 5 level of technical and artistic ability.

Summer Programs 2016 continued... Summer Intensive A nationally recognized program Two, three, four, and five week offering intensive dance training to sessions available. students ages 12 and up.  June 13 - July 15 Acceptance is by audition only. *Note: Academy students in Level 4 or below who are 12 years old and up, must attend one of the auditions (January 16 or February 21) to be considered for acceptance into the Summer Intensive program. The audition fee is waived for current Academy students. Fuzi Shoe Fitting with Xijun Fu A former Cincinnati member and the creator and owner of FUZI, Mr. Xijun Fu, will be visiting Cincinnati Ballet on Wednesday February 17th to offer free individual pointe and ballet flat shoe fittings. Mr. Fu is offering these fittings to Cincinnati Ballet company dancers and any interested Academy students. This is not a requirement for any student, but an opportunity for those who may be interested. Please note, pointe shoe fittings are only for students currently dancing on pointe. Promotion sale prices are only $50 for pointe shoes and $20 for ballet flat shoes. Take advantage of this special opportunity and discounted prices!

Age of Innocence: As a special treat, Wild Sweet Love: Featuring contemporary Who Cares?: Marking our sixth shared BalletMet Columbus performs Age of music from Roberta Flack to Queen, Trey production, we are bringing back this Innocence, choreographed by their own McIntyre’s Wild Sweet Love takes the Balanchine favorite in a big way with a full artistic director, Edwaard Liang.
