Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen. PRAYER OF CONFESSION Holy God, you have given us many good gifts. Today we thank you for all of them, but we also confess that sometimes we love those gifts more than we love you. We confess wanting more and more things: food, clothes, toys, and money. Forgive us for not being content and thankful. Forgive our selfishness. Help us to love you more than everything else. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen. ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS †GLORIA “Glory to the Lamb” Hymnal #111 WE HEAR AND RESPOND TO GOD’S WORD RESPONSIVE READING Psalms 107:1-9 NLT Leader: Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! People: His faithful love endures forever. Leader: Has the LORD redeemed you? Then speak out! People Tell others he has saved you from your enemies. Leader: For he has gathered the exiles from many lands, People: from east and west, from north and south. Leader: Some wandered in the desert, lost and homeless. Leader: For he satisfies the thirsty People: and fills the hungry with good things. PASTORAL PRAYER †HYMN “Come Ye Thankful People Come” Hymnal #797 SCRIPTURE READING Philippians 4:4-7(NLT) Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
