This year, we took our all day photo-shoot to the expansive and luxurious Revel on the world famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, where our ladies were treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the city via the pair of suites we occupied on Demby Shernita Credit: Photo Revel’s 17th Floor.

Joining us once again was the very talented and extremely loquacious Tom Briglia and his able assistant Mike Manger, who shot the cover image inside The Red Room at Revel and many of the interior shots in Revel’s exclusive Ultra Lounge, a haven for high rollers with beautiful ocean views.

I would be remiss if I did not mention Maria Demartino, who in addition to being one of our Housewives this year, assisted us tremendously by taking a plethora of the more intimate shots of the ladies inside the Suites all throughout the day, many of which we have featured prominently in this issue.

Shernita Demby, my Beyoncé look alike office manager and Real Housewives of South Jersey alumna (2011) was also a tremendous help by coordinating all facets of the shoot and taking additional photos of that ladies that we used along with those taken by Tom and Maria.

Shernita also took the great photo of Steve Sweeney & Don Guardian outside the White House Sub Shop on Arctic Avenue.

I had the pleasure of speaking to the legendary Chazz Palminteri about his upcoming one man show performance of ‘A Bronx Tale’ scheduled for December 28th at Trump Taj Mahal and talked to Chaz about working with the great Robert DeNiro and why ‘A Bronx Tale’ still resonates with audiences 20 years after the film was released.

I’m also happy that our old friend Don P. Hurley, a Boardwalk Journal OG who wrote a Chazz Palminteri cover story for us way back in July 2009, contributed this month with an amazing story on Unlikely Heroes Studios, the Atlantic City based comic publisher, whose works are available alongside Marvel and DC Comics. Senate President Steve Sweeney & Atlantic City Mayor elect Don Guardian outside of the White House Sub Shop with their favorite Atlantic City magazine, The Boardwalk Journal Don’s twin brother Harry, whose radio interview with Assemblyman Chris Brown garnered statewide attention, including that of Governor Chris Christie, is also featured this month, not only with his monthly political column, but with a story about the now infamous Brown interview, including a transcript of the relevant portions.

Harry is coming off of a big month, where he saw himself inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame and named to PolitckerNJ.com’s Power List for the seventh consecutive year.

Have a Merry Christmas and a happy / healthy New Year!!!

HURLEY SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON CHRIS BROWN & CHRIS CHRISTIE BY JAMES J. LEONARD JR., ESQ Publisher of The Boardwalk Journal

Q: Do you believe that there is any truth to what Chris Brown said, that there was some sort of "deal" between Governor Christie and George Norcross?

Harry Hurley: No, I don't believe that for one second. Governor Christie has shown the capacity to lead in a bi-partisan and even non-partisan way. Governor Christie has worked with New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney in the best interests of New Jersey. Governor Christie has worked very well with United States Senator Cory Booker on education and other important matters. And, regarding George Norcross ... No one can deny that George is the most powerful non-elected “One, I had no deal with George “I have not listened to the hour long “This is Chris Brown of the 8th legislative citizen leader in the state of New Jersey. Brown conference on December 2, 2013, as Ledger regarding his comments that (R-Burlington), as quoted on November reported by Matthew Arco / PolitickerNJ. suggested a Christie / Norcross “deal”, 27, 2013 by Matthew Arco / PolitickerNJ. Harry Hurley: That's a great question and I'm happy to have the opportunity to expand on the point that I made on-air the com hours after his controversial appearance com day before Thanksgiving when this whole situation went viral. Senator Gormley was a self-sufficient leader that I did not on ‘Hurley In The Morning’ on appreciate as much as I should have while he was in office. When you have a leader accomplish as many things as Senator November 27, 2013 Gormley did, it’s easy to take it for granted. Sadly, like many things in life, you grow a finer appreciation for greatness after- the-fact. Republicans in Atlantic County enjoyed well-funded campaigns for two generations because of Bill Gormley. Gormley is the most prodigious fundraiser in Atlantic County Legislative District 2 history. My point was a simple one: BOB MCDEVITT GOES BANANAS AFTER THE ELECTION Gormley never blamed anyone above him for anything that our District needed. He made it happen himself.

Well-placed sources have confirmed to The Boardwalk Journal that Bob McDevitt, the Q: Regarding Assemblyman Brown flip flopping with Democratic union leader at the helm of UNITE HERE Local 54, sent fruit baskets to his comments to other media outlets after the interview County Executive Denny Levinson and Atlantic County Republican Chairman Keith Davis went viral, is it safe to say that this is a young, unseasoned “congratulating” them for maintaining control of the Freeholder at Large seat in Atlantic politician who may have found himself a bit over his head County and urged them to “keep up the good work.” in the shark infested waters of New Jersey state politics?

'The Mayor of the Morning' Harry Hurley 12 | The Boardwalk Journal | December 2013 The Boardwalk Journal | December 2013 | 13 As Atlantic City celebrates its first month of online gaming, many are already looking ahead as to what the future could hold if Atlantic City’s casinos and New Jersey lawmakers come together and seize what could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to expand the reach of New Jersey’s internet gaming boundaries by allowing international online gambling companies to establish themselves in Atlantic City and offer gamblers abroad the opportunity to place wagers within the existing Atlantic City online infrastructure. The chief proponent of this legislation is North Jersey Democratic Senator Ray Lesniak, who in addition to making the case for online gaming, has also been a strong proponent in support of the efforts to bring legalized sports gambling to Atlantic City, despite a federal ban precluding sports wagering under 1992’s Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act, an act that many, including Senator Lesniak, Governor Christie, Senator Whelan and Senate President Sweeney have sought to challenge as unconstitutional.
