7 DEATH OF BRUCE LAURENCE WEBSTER, A FORMER MEMBER OF THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY

The Speaker informed the House of the death, on 25 July 2019, of Bruce Laurence Webster, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly, and that on behalf of the House, he extended to the family the deep sympathy of the Legislative Assembly in the loss sustained.

Members and officers stood as a mark of respect.

That this House:

(1) Acknowledges that New South Wales has a weak Premier whose re-elected Government is being swamped by bungles, blowouts and building disasters.

(3) Notes that the Government has failed to tackle the crisis in apartment construction and safety, and is now embarrassingly being sued by the residents of Opal Tower.

(4) Notes that despite The Nationals' complicity in the drought in Western New South Wales, the Premier is too weak to remove The Nationals from the water portfolio.

(5) Demands the Premier finally show leadership to fix the bungle, blowouts and building disasters that are turning New South Wales into a state of chaos.

(1) Acknowledges that the M4 Tunnels, the first stage of WestConnex, have officially opened.

(2) Notes that this project will significantly reduce travel times for busy commuters.

(3) Condemns the Opposition for promising to build the M4 East several times, but failing to do so every single time.
