The first chapter explores the novel Girls Made of Snow and Glass and how the reshaping of the “Snow White” narrative, within the text, undermines the patriarchal narrative that pits woman against woman and, instead, tells a story of female solidarity. Chapter two considers A Court of Thornes and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury and how the fallout of “The Beauty and the Beast” narrative in book one carries into book two as a means to build empathy and understanding for those suffering with mental health issues, including those suffering with PTSD. Robert Samber’s “Cinderilla: or, The Little Glass Slipper,” published in Histories, or Tales of Past Times. With Morals (1729), is known as the first English translation of the tale. More recently, Angela Carter’s retranslation “Cinderella: or, The Little Glass Slipper,” published in The Fairy Tales of Charles Perrault (1977), pays homage to Samber but also modernises the tale to carry a more emancipatory message. While Samber’s translation reflects the working conditions of Grub Street writers and acculturation of Perrault’s fairy tale in Protestant England, Carter gives it a feminist twist as she turns it into a “fable of the politics of experience.” She would later rewrite it as “Ashputtle or The Mother’s Ghost” (1987), this time using Manheim’s English translation of the Grimms’ “Aschenputtel” as a starting point.     EXPONOR 14.15. JANEIRO.17 actividades no Ringue de Honra que ocuparão parte da manhã. No domingo, na 85.ª Qualifi cativa de Campeonato, terá lugar mais uma edição do Campeonato Ibérico, acordado entre o Clube Português de Canicultura e a Real Sociedad Canina de Espanha, iniciado em 2014, e fruto do contínuo relacionamento institucional entre os nossos dois países. Conforme anunciado, em termos numéricos registamos uma signifi cativa subida de inscrições, que ultrapassaram largamente os números atingidos em 2016 o que muito nos agradou. Este ano de novo irão participar nestes dois eventos muitos exemplares de diversas raças provenientes do estrangeiro, para além dos Estes dois grandes eventos de morfologia Canina, exemplares pertencentes aos nossos habituais os maiores que se realizam anualmente em expositores Portugueses, aos quais desde já Portugal e tradicionalmente na Exponor, refl etem agradecemos a presença.
