It gets to be worth a lot of money Because it becomes a collectable that’s very Valuable and it becomes an older Lego set. And the Lego site shows you the different Types of Legos there are available to people And shows the sets that are in the major Stores like Wal-Mart and target. It also Shows the different features that are in the Lego set. There’s also a shop tab on the site So you don’t have to go to a store but you Can get the sets you want by getting them Shipped to you between 3 to 8 business Days and it comes in a cardboard box. The Sites also has a few other tabs like games, Videos, and create an share. The site also Has. Legos are known all over the world, first starting in 1932 as putting normal toys together, the award winning Lego brick; it won the toy of the century award. It all started in 1932 when Godtfred Kirk Christiansen began working at the LEGO Corporation when he was 12. When Godtfred was 17 he started constructing buildable models for kids in 1937. In 1949 the Lego constructing bricks are born, which are sold in Denmark exclusively. Now there are tons of different Lego sets being sold everywhere, as a few examples: LEGO CREATOR, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Indiana Jones, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Architecture, LEGO City, LEGO Games, LEGO Technic, LEGO Mindstorms and a newly released Lego set: LEGO Minecraft. LEGO CREATOR is the normal Lego building set which sometimes you can take apart the building and you can make a different one out of the instructions, you can do this in the 3 in 1 sets, and most CREATOR sets have electrical powered bricks used for lighting or for sound. LEGO Architecture is a smaller building set that has a lot of the smaller pieces but those smaller pieces are used to build real life buildings like The White House and the United Nations Headquarters. In the instruction guide the first ten pages gives you facts and information about what you will be building, what you build is rather small but looks astonishing when it’s finished. LEGO Minecraft, the Game that only had 31 sales when it was first released now has over a hundred million sales and counting, LEGO Minecraft only has 3 sets at the time but there will be dozens in the future. LEGO Mindstorms is a robotic Lego set with 2 additional CDs that are for Programming and Data logging. The set comes with the main robot that you upload Programs from the computer to do a series of obstacles that you or your friends can create. LEGO Games is a Lego set where you can build a board game; the main piece is the dice that starts the game. It has over a dozen sets and games that you can play, though the people that you use in the game are smaller and have no arms, it’s made that way for easier placement and gameplay. LEGO Technic is a set that uses motors, gears, pulleys, and other gadgets used to make cranes, cars, planes, helicopters, and other amazing creations. LEGO Star Wars is a popular set that has you building flying vehicles, hovercrafts, spaceships, and enormous creations such as a two foot long star destroyer and a two foot wide death star, based on the Star Wars Saga. LEGO City is another popular set in which you build police stations, planes, boats, banks, and other; it is likely that they will be making a lot more of these sets in the future and more awesome ideas. Legos have been seen everywhere as in Lego animated movies and TV shows they even make some video games on them. They are even releasing a Lego movie called “The Lego Movie” or “Lego: The Piece of Resistance” made from the people who produced “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. The Lego Movie will be released on February 7, 2014. Lego Free building What I mean when I say free-building is that you build without any guidance or direction. I prefer free-building because you can build and not be mad that you messed up. Some people can also be more efficient because sometimes directions can be confusing and misleading. I once bought a Lego set to build a boat. I never used the directions on how to build that boat. in fact earlier this month I used the piece for the hull to build a Lego research vessel. The ship includes a lifeboat, scuba tanks, radar, 2 beds, a TV, 3 computers, and lights and horns. I’ve also made several planes ranging in size and complexity. My favorite was a massive cargo jet that I made the tail on a hinge so the back could swing open and a ramp could come down to allow cars and other vehicles to drive in. You could also slide in loaded shipping containers. I have also experimented with Lego Digital Designer which is a PC based program where you can build anything want with any Lego ever designed. It’s also free! Some of the coolest free-builds I have ever seen were made to resemble real life things. One of my favorites was a scaled model of the Titanic. But I also like a lot of the other things. Another one of my favorites was a model of Air Force One (the US president private jet.) The coolest thing I have ever made was probably a Lego container ship. I designed it to use the same containers that I mentioned earlier in the Article. It was even able to load and unload containers with a crane on the front.     Mattia Thibault University of Turin Lego: when video games bridge between play and cinema. Introduction Playful phenomena are often exploited as source of inspiration by film-makers. Toys, after videogames, are the most fruitfully exploited playful phenomenon featuring films about toys (as Pixar's Toy Story) and inspired by real products, as Barbie G.I. Joe and Transformers. However the only toy-inspired film that had a genuine success both by audience and critics is the Lego movie. The path of Lego from toy to cinema features many steps, among which the creation of many videogames. This article aims at investigating the role and position that Lego videogames hold in the definition of a Lego aesthetics and in its application to different media. 1.0 Lego: language and aesthetics. The transmedia phenomenon that we refer to with the world “Lego”, is complex indeed. It has been analyzed both as a language1 and as a parallel, alternative world2. Undoubtedly Lego aesthetics are very well defined in the collective imagination. We will try, here, to describe it focusing on four main characteristics. 1.1 Modular nature First of all Lego are bricks, construction sets: Lego are meant for building things. This fundamental characteristic goes through all kind of Lego products: objects (and also people) can be reduced to unbreakable pieces ans used to build other things. 1.2 Full translatability Objects and people from the Lego world, are alternative to their real-world counterparts Lego minifigures have their own characteristics: yellow skin, cylindrical heads, few facial traits, polygonous bodies, painted clothes, and limited possibilities of movements.
