• 81 CCTV systems/cameras • Located in Joondalup City Centre, MacNaughton Park Skate Park, Bramston Park, Tom Simpson Park, Mirror Park Skate Park and Penistone Park Kellie Wilson • Using CCTV since 2011 • 87 public, 29 external to buildings and 109 internal to buildings • Use milestone and have optic fibre covering 70% of our public cameras • 1 Community Safety Officer • Feedback from Police that CCTV has been critical in arresting people for various serious crime • Positive working relationship with Mandurah Police Station, Mandurah Detectives and State Operation Centre have access to all public and external cameras. • 388 CCTV cameras • Installed in community hubs, shopping centres, parks and community centres • Operating the Milestone CCTV platform and use a number of difference cameras, including Axis, Mobotix, Hikvision and Dajua • 3 full-time officers • Excellent relationship with police at both a local and district level Mathew Owens

Town of Victoria Park • 117 CCTV systems joined the CCTV Partnership Program • Installed on private property and entered into an agreement with WA Police and the Town to provide footage to WAPol when requested. • A part of the Safer Neighbourhoods portfolio, 1 FTE • Local Police have reported they utilise the CCTV map on a regular basis, in combination with other arrangements they have entered into to assist their duties. Faster lines of enquiry and case resolution. • Very positive working relationship with Kensington Police Station. WA Police Officers contact the CCTV Partnership Program applicants directly to request footage. Brodie Dawkins

City of Melville Ian Westmore WA Police

• The two CCTV cameras used by the Crime Prevention and Community Liaison Unit were originally purchased for covert graffiti operations. • We conducted a project targeting theft from motor vehicles in Kings Park and Crawley. We worked with the who deployed their own mobile CCTV trailer and ‘friendlies’ at nearby residences and businesses. The project resulted in three arrests. • We engage with the relevant LGA if/when required. The cameras are available to other units in WAPOL. Panel Q&A Session
