Southern Illinois Miners Stadium Operations Internships Southern Illinois Miners Stadium Operations Internships The Southern Illinois Miners Stadium Operations Internship Program is a hands-on program that gives you real world experience working for a professional baseball team. The skills learned in this program can be taken to many different jobs in sports. Interns report to Rent One Park in Marion Illinois during the duration of their internship. This is a full-time seasonal internship position with a monthly stipend. Responsibilities: • Coordinate game day and non game day events. • Assist with all food and beverage operations. • Daily upkeep/maintenance of the facility. • Ensure the ballpark maintains a clean and safe environment. • Assist in managing part-time game day staff. Qualifications/Experience: • Looking for a hard working, dedicated, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and talented person to work within and grow our team • Strong maintenance background is a plus. • Must be willing to work all 48 home games from May to September as well as non baseball events. • Must be willing to cooperate and work well with all other areas of the organization. • Interns will also learn to work cooperatively in a busy and deadline driven environment, while enjoying the excitement of working within a professional sports organization. Internship Dates: Spring/Summer 2020 • Start Date is flexible with the opportunity to begin part-time before May if interested.
