Pand Martha Josey, of Marshall, Texas. R.E. is a three-time American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) World Champion calf roper and an inductee of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, Texas Hall of Fame and Ark-La-Tex Sports Museum. Martha has more than her share of accolades, including Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA), AQHA and National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) world championships, and she is a National Cowgirl Hall of Fame inductee. Since their 1967 marriage, the couple has combined their talents and strengths to not only win multiple world titles, trailers, , buckles and other awards, but they, along with Team Josey – composed of former R.E. and Martha Josey Josey Clinic champions, have coached hundreds of students who now have successful careers of their own. Two of their QHN File Photo annual clinics, the Josey Junior World Championship Barrel Race, for youth riders ages 20 and under, and the Josey Reunion Round-Up, draw students from around the world. The Joseys have written and produced multiple successful instructional books and videos. They have not only marketed competitive champion barrel and rope horses, they have a line of Western equipment and clothing that they market at their Josey Western Store located at their ranch. Martha has always credited “Josey,” as she affectionately calls R.E., for her positive and “no-quit attitude.” The Joseys stress to their students that they must set goals, then go for them and always remember – where there is a will, there is a way. One of Martha’s favorite scrip- tures is Luke 1:37 – "In God, nothing is ever impossible.."★
