What exactly IS a Trunk Mount? A trunk mount is a platform mounted in the rear/trunk of a vehicle to mount radio and communications equipment, computers, power supplies and more. They are designed to reduce clutter and not to interfere with the OEM spare , and can be safely slid or folded away when not in use.

Basic Trunk Mount Choices

Slide Out Trays Fold Down Heavy Fold Down Side Universal Storage Box Fold Up Cargo Plate Duty Trays Mounts

Slide Out Trays These trunk mounted trays slide out for easy access to equipment. The slide out feature provides easy access to electronics for service. When pushed closed, the tray automatically locks in place, keeping electronics safe from any potential damage. They offer full access to the OEM . They are shipped fully assembled and are vehicle specific for easy “no holes drilled” installation. The equipment mounting tray simply removes for bench-top installation of equipment - no more leaning into the trunk for equipment installation. Full width, slide out trays can accommodate any amount of equipment.

Fold Down Heavy Duty Trays These trunk mounts are designed to mount electronics and equipment securely and safely on a convenient hinged platform that easily folds up, keeping equipment protected and freeing up valuable trunk space. This product even allows unrestricted access to the spare tire. Fold Down Trays mount at the front of the trunk near the seat area and maximizes available trunk storage height. When the trunk tray is hinged up in the closed position, it allows for access to the spare, and all items mounted on the tray will be protected from damage. The slide out tray is removable for pre-installation of equipment.

Fold Down Side Mounts Storage is at a premium in trunks. Havis Fold Down Trunk Side Mounts mount on the side of the trunk while still allowing access to the spare tire in Ford Interceptor Sedan and Crown Victoria, Dodge Charger, and Chevrolet Impala. The smaller platform is ideal for mounting just a few pieces of equipment in the trunk. The included locking latch ensures equipment and data security.

Universal Storage Box For the utility vehicle owners, Havis offers a new product – the Universal Storage Box. While it is a rectangular box that is interchangeable between vehicles, it has many similarities to the Trunk Fold Downs by providing a safe and secure mounting location for mission-critical devices. Equipment mounts to the removable inner door panel for easy bench- top pre-assembly. The universal design allows it to be mounted behind the rear seat, against a partition or K9 transport unit, or any flat surface. Some vehicle specific mount kits are available for no holes drilled installation. Smaller boxes are also available for special applications.

Fold Up Cargo Plate for Ford Interceptor Utility These plates replace the OEM rear cargo floor/spare tire cover and allow equipment to be safely mounted on the underside of the plate for protection. The cargo plate offers 6” of mounting height from the top of the spare tire to the bottom of the plate.
